The spatial diversity method is an effective way to mitigate the adverse effects of fading channels in wireless communications. In this paper, we propose a cooperative balanced transmit scheme in relay communication network systems as one of the special diversity applications with both decode-and-forward (DF) and amplify-and-forward (AF) schemes. In order to maximize cooperative diversity gain, the proposed scheme selects the maximum sum of the balanced gains computed by channel coefficients according to the feedback bits. The bit error rate (BER) performances of the DF and AF schemes are compared through the simulation results.en_US
