Vibration analysis of a structure which can be modeled as an inward-oriented rotating beams has been studied. Due to the inertia force acting on the structure, vibration characteristics vary with the rotational speed. To investigate the vibration characteristics of inward-oriented rotating beams, equations of motion are derived using the Rayleigh Ritz method. To validate the accuracy, natural frequencies of rotating beams obtained with the proposed model are compared to those obtained with a commercial finite element code. Using the proposed model, the effects of concentrated mass, taper ratios, root offset and angular speed on the vibration characteristics of the inward-oriented rotating beams are investigated.
