Abstract
A planar FE model is used to investigate the dynamic response of cable-stayed bridge under a high-speed train. The train is modeled as a series of one-foot sprung masses. The random track irregularities are generated by power spectrum density functions. The bridge deck and tower are modeled as frame elements. Three types of cable elements are used to model the stayed-cables. The interaction EOM is solved by Newmark-beta method.
