dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an adaptive cruise control algorithm development with driver behavior. The algorithm controls the vehicle to minimize awareness of difference in automatic control. The controller collects space to preceding vehicle while manual driving. Therefore, it is able to estimate the driving intention and set the control parameters for driver’s feeling. By previous study, adaptive cruise control systems are focused on the performance. This adaptive cruise controller is concerned with not only safety, but also comfort. This algorithm is simulated using CarSim® simulator with other driving vehicles for verifying its effectiveness.en_US
