박목월 문학과 문학장(場)

Abstract

박목월은 박두진, 조지훈과 함께 ‘청록파’라는 범주적 명명을 통해 자신의 시적 권역을 문학사에서 얻어왔다. 이들의 합동시집 󰡔청록집󰡕(1946) 제호는 정지용의 󰡔백록담󰡕(1941)과 뚜렷하게 5년 상거(相距)의 마주 보는 형국을 취한 것이다. 이때 박목월은 박용철이 20여 년 전 펴냈던 순수서정의 미학적 아이콘 󰡔시문학󰡕의 제호를 다시 따서 잡지를 창간한다. 식민지 시대에 이미 󰡔어린이󰡕와 󰡔문장󰡕을 통해 자신의 문학적 원형질을 형성했던 박목월은 해방 직후의 󰡔청록집󰡕과 전쟁 전후의 󰡔시문학󰡕으로 매체적 전신을 꾀하며 문단의 중심에 선 것이다. 이어서 박목월은 1973년 󰡔심상󰡕을 창간하여 다시 잡지를 주재하였고, 그 어간에 육영수 여사 전기를 쓰기도 했다. 이처럼 순수서정의 시인이라는 외관에도 불구하고 박목월은 일관된 매체적 지향을 당대의 문학장 안에서 보여주었고, 우리는 이 점이 매우 중요한 박목월 문학의 생성적 원리라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 올해는 박목월 탄생 100주년이 되는 해이다. 그동안 박목월은 역사 너머에 존재해온 감이 없지 않다. 이제 박목월 문학에서 역사적, 제도적 욕망의 흐름을 파악하는 일은 새삼 중요성을 더해갈 것이다.Park, Mok-wol had secured his poetic sphere through categorical naming, ‘Cheongnokpa’ with Park, Du-jin and Cho, Ji-hoon. Their joint poetry book, ‘Cheongnokjip’(1946) took the form of facing ‘Paeknokdam’(1941) by Jeong, Ji-yong published 5 years before. At this time, Park, Mok-wol published the first issue of ‘Simunhak’, imitating an aesthetic icon of pure lyricism that had been published 20 years ago by Park, Yong-cheol. Park, Mok-wol had formed his literary protoplasm with ‘Eorini’ and ‘Munjang’ during the Japanese colonial period. He attempted the change of media to ‘Cheongnokjip’ right after the liberation and to ‘Simunhak’ after the Korean War and finally could be at the center of the literary world. Then, he published and managed ‘Simsang’ in 1973 and wrote the biography of Yuk, Yong-su during the time. In spite of his external appearance as a pure lyric poet, Park, Mok-wol showed his constant orientation toward a medium within the literary field of the time and this is a very important generative principle of his literature. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Park, Mok-wol’s birth. It seems that he has been existed over the history in the meantime. However, the understanding of his desire for an institution will become more important in the future.
