dc.description.abstractIn this paper, a compact dual-band antenna for smart wristband is proposed. By using dual shorted inverted-Lshaped radiating elements and a slotted ground plane, dual resonant modes are achieved in WLAN (2.45/5.8 GHz) bands both in free space and on the arm phantom. This antenna attains improvement in multiband and size miniaturization when compared to an existing antenna in practical smart wristband. In addition, the specific absorption rate (SAR) performance of the proposed antenna is analyzed by SEMCAD.en_US
