Abstract
Platinum catalytic electrodes in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were prepared on FTO glasses by a pulse-current electrodeposition method without the formation of nano- or mesoporous films. Coupled with solid-state polymer electrolyte, the electrodes electro deposited at 75 mA/cm2 pulse current exbibited fine films and thus, yielded DSC efficiency of up to 5.6% under 1 sun condition; this was nearly 30% higher than conventional one. Increases in effective surface area and partly in light reflection are in charge of the enhanced efficency.
