dc.description.abstract본 연구는 ‘통일을 준비하는 교육’ 단계의 일환으로 문학교과서에 나타난 통일교육의 양상을 살펴 본 것이다. 교육과정에 반영된 ‘통일교육’은 반공교육이 변화된 것이라 할 수 있다. 통일교육에 대한 인식은 3차 교육과정부터 나타나기 시작하여 지속적으로 유지되었고, 7차 교육과정 및 개정 2009, 2011 교육과정에 이르는 동안 구체화되었다. 이 글은 2012 고시 새 문학교과서 11종을 대상으로 하여 현대소설수록 양상을 살펴본 후, 통일교육의 반영을 확인한 것이다. 11종 교과서에서 통일에 대한 교육내용을 담고 있는 교과서는 모두 8종이었다. 2009 개정 문학교과서 13종에서 8종의 교과서가 ‘통일교육’을 반영한 것과 비교하면 교육과정에 충실한 모습이다. 다만, 수록된 소설이 ˂광장˃과 ˂장마˃, 북한소설 ˂쇠찌르레기˃와 ˂우주비행˃으로서 다양하지는 않았다. 단원 구성에서 통일교육의 반영은 ˂한국문학의 범위와 역사˃의 ‘한국 문학의 보편성과 특수성’, ˂문학과 삶˃의 ‘문학과 공동체’, ˂한국 문학의 갈래와 흐름˃ 등이다. 분단의 특수한 상황과 공동체의식에 대한 함양에서 통일교육이 주로 이루어지고 있다. 다문화에 대한 인식을 확장시킨다면 훨씬 폭넓은 소설 제재를 활용하여 통일교육을 할 수 있으리라 본다. 또한, ‘북한소설’과 재외 작가의 작품까지 포함하여 교육할 때 통일교육의 방법은 더 다양할 것이다. 북한 소설의 선정은 북한에 대한 이해교육, 향후 급변 등의 시기에 닥쳐올 다문화적 가치들을 수용하기 위한 차원의 교육을 미리 수행하는 것에서 의의가 있는 것이다. This study examined the patterns of reunification education in the literature textbooks as a part of “education to prepare for unification” stage. The emphasis on “unification education” reflected in the curriculums has gained more and more momentum with time. There was no mention on reunification education during the Syllabus Period and First Curriculum because the influences of Independence and Korean War had not led to the perceptions of “reunification,” yet. The Second Curriculum started to reflect “anticommunist education” with no perceptions of unification displayed yet, either. It was in the Third Curriculum that the educational perceptions of “unification” began to emerge with a growing tendency of expansion and emphasis toward the Seventh Curriculum at the result of considering social and international trends. The present study examined the new 11 literature textbooks announced in 2012 to understand “unification education” reflected in textbooks, tracking the actual patterns of unification education by analyzing the inclusion of modern novels in textbooks. Of the 11 textbooks, six incorporated the perceptions of unification into the educational content, however weak they were. There were differences in the degree of incorporation among the six textbooks, and only three of them reflected “unification education” properly. The organization of the new textbooks had a couple of candidate units good for the reflection of reunification education including “Universality and Uniqueness of Korean Literature” under “The Scope and History of Korean Literature” and “Literature and the Community” under “Literature and Life.” The textbooks will be able to use even broader novel materials in unification education by expanding the perceptions of multiculture addressed in “Literature and the Community” further. “The Sections and Flows of Korean Literature” also holds potential for unification education as they can show the students the concepts and scopes of Korean literature more broadly and, at the same time, orient them toward unification by including even the “North Korean novels” and the works of overseas Korean writers in the sections of Korean literature and putting an emphasis on their linkage to unification education in the course of education. The choice of North Korean novels will have certain significance as an attempt to provide education to promote the understanding of North Korea further and help the students accept multicultural values in the upcoming eras of rapid changes in advance.en_US
