Abstract
The present study describes a detailed chemical reaction model effect on soot formation. The model combines recent developments in gas phase reaction, PAH chemistry, soot particle coagulation, aggregation and surface reaction model. This model was tested against experimental profiles of major and minor chemical species, PAH, soot volume fraction reported in the literature for ethylene/air non-premixed flame. The numerical results are well in agreement with experimental data and show PAH chemistry effect.
