로큰롤 스타일의 패션 디자인 개발에 관한 연구

Abstract

국문초록 이 연구는 로큰롤 문화의 형성과 발전 과정에서 나타난 다양한 로큰롤 패션 스타일을 분석하고, 이를 현대 패션 디자인에 적용하여 현대적인 로큰롤 스타일의 패션 디자인을 개발하는 데 중점을 두었다. 본 연구는 1950년대부터 1990년대까지 나타난 로큰롤 스타일을 시간 순으로 상세히 조사하고, 그 특성 및 스타일을 유형화한 후, 이를 현대 패션 개발과 디자인에 접목시켜 새로운 패션디자인 작품을 제작하였다. 문헌 고찰과 선행 연구를 통해 로큰롤 문화를 정의하였으며, 이 논문에서 정의하는 로큰롤 문화는 단순히 음악에 관한 것이 아니라 권위에 대항하고 자유와 개성 표현을 추구하는 태도를 나타낸다. 이러한 문화는 전통적인 사회 규범과 가치에 도전하고 사람들이 스스로 발견하고 혁신하며 자유롭게 표현하도록 장려한다. 시간이 흐르면서 로큰롤은 다른 장르와 스타일을 발전시켰지만 그 핵심인 반역과 자유의 정신은 변함없는 본질이다. 1950년대부터 1990년대의 로큰롤 음악과 로커 스타일, 그리고 사회적 배경을 분석한 결과, 자유성, 화려성, 반항성, 다원성, 파괴성, 복고성과 같이 여섯 가지의 특성을 발견하였다. 현대 패션 디자인 사례 분석에서는 중국 BFW, <롤링스톤>, <보그>를 기반으로 로큰롤 패션과 밀접한 관련이 있는 여섯 개 브랜드를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 로큰롤 문화의 특성이 현대 패션에서 어떻게 나타나는지를 보여주었다. 연구의 일환으로, 로큰롤의 여섯 가지 특성을 현대 패션에 접목시켜 '불멸의 로큰롤'을 주제로 한 여섯 개의 디자인을 개발하였다. 디자인들은 로큰롤 문화의 자유정신, 화려성, 반항적인 자질, 다양성, 파괴적인 효과, 복고적인 요소를 현대적인 감각으로 재해석하고 구현하였다. 이 연구는 로큰롤 스타일의 요소를 현대 패션 디자인에 적용함으로써 패션 분야에 대한 이론적 및 실천적인 기초를 제공하며, 미래의 패션 디자인에서 로큰롤 문화가 중요한 역할을 할 것임을 시사한다. 로큰롤 문화는 패션계에 힘과 열정을 불어넣을 것이며, 앞으로도 창의적이고 독특한 디자인 작품들이 지속적으로 개발될 것으로 기대된다.|ABSTRACT

A Study on the Development of Fashion Design in Rock 'n' Roll Style ZHAO JINXI Dept. Jewelry Fashion Design Graduate School of Hanyang University

This study is focused on analyzing the various rock and roll fashion styles that emerged during the formation and development of rock and roll culture. There will be a focus on emphasising and developing contemporary rock and roll fashion designs by applying these styles to those of the modern day. In particular, there will be a focus on rock and roll styles from the 1950s to the 1990s, categorising their characteristics and styles and how this period influenced new fashion design. In particular, how these qualities are integrated into contemporary fashion development and design. Through reviewing literature and conducting research, rock and roll culture was defined. A culture that transcends a simple music genre to express attitudes of freedom and individuality. It challenges traditional social norms and values, encouraging people to express themselves freely. Analyzing rock and roll music, rocker style, and social backgrounds from the 1960s to the 1990s, six characteristics were identified: freedom, flamboyance, rebelliousness, diversity, destructiveness, and retro. For the purpose of contemporary fashion design case analysis, 3 major influences were chosen: China BFW, Rolling Stone and Vogue. Further, six brands that are closely related to rock and roll fashion were analysed based on these 3 choices. The six brands demonstrated how the various characteristics of rock and roll culture are reflected in modern fashion. As a result of the research, six designs themed after the concept of 'Immortal Rock and Roll' were developed, applying six characteristics to modern fashion. The designs reinterpreted and embodied the free spirit, flamboyance, rebellious qualities, diversity, destructive effects, and retro elements of rock and roll culture in a modern sense. This study provides a theoretical and practical foundation for the fashion field, in regards to applying elements of rock and roll style to contemporary fashion design. It suggests that rock and roll culture will play a significant role in future fashion. Rock and roll culture is expected to infuse into the fashion world with strength and passion, with creative and unique design works being anticipated and continuously developed.
