It plays the most central role among the five senses, going through the process of integrating and interpreting information obtained through vision in the brain. People with v isu al i m p a i r m e n t e x p e r i e n c e e n v i r o n m e n t a l , s o c i a l , a n d p s y c h o l o g i c a l barriers due to their visual limitations, which have a negative impact on their health. Therefore, it is important to comprehensively evaluate and understand the health of the visually impaired, and these efforts and attempts ultimately improve the quality of life of the visually impaired through health promotion behavior. Purpose : In this study, the relationship between the subjective health status, perceived environmental barriers, disability identity, social support, and health promotion behavior of visually impaired was identified, and factors affecting health promotion behavior were identified to develop health promotion strategies and health promotion programs. Methods : This study is a descriptive survey. Data was collected through face-to-face interviews with 137 visually impaired who use welfare centers for the visually impaired in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 29.0 program using frequency, per cen tag e, m ean , sta nda rd d evi ati on, in dep end ent t- tes t, o ne- way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Multiple Linear regression analysis using the enter method. Results : As a result of multiple linear regression analysis of factors affecting health promotion behavior, perceived environmental barriers (β = -.26, p = <.001), social support (β = .24, p = .002), and disability identity. (β=.22, p=.002), subjective health status (β=.22, p=.002), and religion (β =.15, p=.037) were found to influence health promotion behavior. The explanatory power of the regression model was 40% (adj.R²=.400) (F=13.98,p<.001). Conclusions : Visually impaired, the lower their perceived environmental barriers, the higher their social support, the higher their disability identity, the higher their subjective health status, and have a their religion, the higher their health promotion behavior. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively assess the health problems of the visually impaired and develop customized health promotion strategies and health promotion programs that take into account both the physical and mental aspects of the subjects.
