Today, with the rapid development of the sharing economy, the impact of shared mobility on new car sales has become a focus of concern for automobile manufacturing companies. It can be found from previous research that the development of the sharing economy has a negative impact on new car sales to a certain extent. However, studies comparing regions and vehicle segments are rare. This paper analyzes and compares the relationship between shared mobility and car sales in eight countries. Judging from the results, countries are divided into two groups, the US, China, South Korea, the UK and rest 4 countries in continental Europe. For the first group of countries, shared mobility does have a negative impact on car sales, and economic vehicles have a greater impact than luxury vehicles. However, the second group of countries shows different results, which we believe is due to the characteristics of continental European countries.-
