상담자들의 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자로서의 자기효능감의 관계: 외상 후 성장과 전문직 정체성의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구는 상담자의 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 외상 후 성장과 상담자 전문직 정체성의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구를 위해 전국의 상담 기관에서 심리 상담업무를 수행하고 있는 상담자 388명을 대상으로 사건관련 반추 척도, 외상 후 성장 척도, 상담자 전문직 정체성 척도, 상담자 자기효능감 척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 27.0 및 SPSS Process Macro 4.2를 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 외상 후 성장, 상담자 전문직 정체성, 상담자 자기효능감 모두 상호간의 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 외상 후 성장의 부분매개효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 상담자 전문직 정체성의 완전매개효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 넷째, 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 외상 후 성장과 상담자 전문직 정체성의 순차적 매개효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 의의 및 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구는 상담자의 경우 의도적 반추를 통한 외상 후 성장과 같은 개인적인 영역의 성장이 상담자로서의 정체성 형성이나 자기효능감 향상과 같은 전문적인 영역의 성장으로까지 이어질 것이라는 가설을 검증하였다. 둘째, 본 연구는 연구대상을 상담자로 선정하고 다양한 외상 유형 중에서도 대인 외상 경험에 초점을 맞추었으며 양적 연구방법을 사용하였다. 셋째, 본 연구는 대인 외상 경험에 대한 의도적 반추와 상담자 자기효능감의 관계에서 외상 후 성장과 상담자 전문직 정체성의 순차적인 매개효과를 검증하였다.| The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of post-traumatic growth and counselor professional identity in the relationship between deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences of counselors and counselor self-efficacy. For the purpose of this study, a survey was conducted with 388 counselors performing psychological counseling duties in counseling agencies nationwide, using scales for event related rumination, post-traumatic growth, counselor professional identity, and counselor self-efficacy. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and SPSS Process Macro 4.2. The main findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, significant positive correlations were found among deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences, post-traumatic growth, counselor professional identity, and counselor self-efficacy. Second, a partial mediating effect of post-traumatic growth was confirmed in the relationship between deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences and counselor self-efficacy. Third, a complete mediating effect of counselor professional identity was confirmed in the relationship between deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences and counselor self-efficacy. Fourth, a sequential mediating effect of post-traumatic growth and counselor professional identity was confirmed in the relationship between deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences and counselor self-efficacy. The significance and implications of this study are as follows: First, this study confirmed the hypothesis that personal growth, such as post-traumatic growth through deliberate rumination, can extend to professional growth, such as formation of counselor professional identity and improvement of counselor self-efficacy. Second, this study selected counselors as research subjects, and focused specifically on interpersonal trauma experiences among various types of trauma, and employed a quantitative research method. Third, this study verified the sequential mediating effect of post-traumatic growth and counselor professional identity in the relationship between deliberate rumination on interpersonal trauma experiences and counselor self-efficacy.
