세월호 추모관 계획안

Abstract

본 논문은 2014년 세월호 참사의 희생자들을 추모하기 위한 세월호 추모관의 디자인을 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 사고로 고교 2학년생 250명을 포함해 승객과 승무원 304명이 목숨을 잃으며 한국 사회에 큰 충격과 고통을 안겨줬다. 지금까지도 많은 사람이 이 비극의 아픔에 깊이 빠져 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 추모관의 디자인을 통해 고인에 대한 존경심을 전달하고, 사람들이 함께 공감하고 애도하며 사고 원인을 반성하고 안전 의식을 도모할 수 있도록 사색과 애도의 공간을 제공하는 것이다. 동시에는 유가족들과 생존자, 사고 관련자들에게 깊은 추모와 치유의 공간이 되는 것이다. 첫째, 본문은 세월호 참사의 배경과 영향을 검토하고, 추모 공간 디자인에 대한 사회적, 문화적 요인의 영향을 분석한다. 둘째, 세월호 사건에 대한 기존의 기념 공간 사례와 관련 문헌을 연구하여 공간 배치, 동선, 감성 체험 등 추모관 디자인의 핵심 요소를 정리한다. 디자인 측면에서는 장소지각과 감성적 공명을 기반으로 한 "더블 동선"(double circulation) 개념을 제안한다. 추모관의 공간 배치는 다양한 방문객의 정서적 요구를 충분히 고려하고 내러티브 공간(narrative space) 이론을 사용하여 사건의 시간 감정과 추모관의 공간 배치 및 동선을 결합하여 방문객이 감정적으로 경험하고 생각하도록 안내한다. 또한, 예술적 설치물, 조각품, 실제 이미지, 조명 및 자연광선 분위기의 생성을 통해 절망에서 희망에 이르는 분위기를 조성하여 방문객이 애도와 반성의 분위기에 몰입할 수 있도록 한다. 마지막으로 세월호추모관의 지속이 가능한 발전에 대해 논의한다. 추모관은 자연채광과 안뜰 정원, 현지에서 채취한 건축자재를 통해 건축의 생명력을 표현해야 할 뿐만 아니라 희생자에 대해 기리는 끝이 없다는 것을 은유적으로 표현한다. 이 계획안을 통해 세월호 추모관을 교육적 의미, 정서적 공감 및 지속이 가능한 발전을 갖춘 기념 공간으로 만드는 데 유용한 생각과 지침을 제공하기를 바란다. 동시에 이 연구는 유사한 다른 재난적 추모관의 설계에도 참조와 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.| This thesis aims to design the Sewol Ferry Memorial Hall to commemorate the victims of the 2014 Sewol ferry disaster. In this accident, 304 passengers and crew, including 250 high school sophomores, lost their lives, creating a huge impact on Korean society. It brought shock and pain. To this day, many people are deeply immersed in the pain of this tragedy. The purpose of this study is to convey respect for the deceased through the design of the memorial hall, to empathize and mourn together, and to reflect on the cause of the accident. It is to provide a space for contemplation and mourning to promote safety awareness. At the same time, it is to be a space for deep remembrance and healing for the bereaved families, survivors, and those involved in the accident. First, the text examines the background and impact of the Sewol ferry disaster, and analyzes the influence of social and cultural factors on the design of the memorial space. Second, by researching existing examples of memorial spaces and related literature for the Sewol Ferry incident, key elements of the design of the memorial hall, such as space arrangement, traffic line, and emotional experience, are organized. In terms of design, we propose the concept of "double circulation" based on place perception and emotional resonance. The spatial arrangement of the memorial hall fully considers the emotional needs of various visitors and uses the theory of narrative space to combine the temporal emotion of the event with the spatial arrangement and circulation of the memorial hall, guiding visitors to experience and think emotionally. In addition, through the creation of an atmosphere of artistic installations, sculptures, real images, lighting and natural light, an atmosphere ranging from despair to hope is created, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of mourning and reflection. Lastly, the sustainable development of the Sewol Memorial Hall is discussed. The memorial hall should not only express the vitality of architecture through natural lighting, a courtyard garden, and locally harvested building materials, but also metaphorically indicate that there is no end to honoring the victims. express Through this plan, it is hoped that useful thoughts and guidelines will be provided to make the Sewol Memorial Hall a commemorative space with educational meaning, emotional empathy, and sustainable development. At the same time, this study can provide references and implications for the design of other similar disaster memorials.
