Abstract
A taxonomic study was conducted on the polynoidae family in Korean waters. Based on taxonomic literature, 31 species of polynoids were revised using biogeographical range, morphology, and genetic data. A "reverse taxonomy" approach was used to identify unrecorded or misidentified species based on mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (mtCOI) molecular data and morphological characteristics. The results were as follows: 1. Lepidasthenia stylolepis, Lepidonotus squamatus, Halosydna brevisetosa, Eunoe oerstedi, E. senta, Harmothoe imbricata, Harmothoe hirusta, and Lagisca waahli were misidentified and correctly characterized as Perolepis oshimai, Lepidonotus sp. nov. 1, Halosydna nebulosa and Halosydna sp. nov. 1, E. barbata, E. spinosa, Harmothoe sp. nov. 2 and Harmothoe praeclara, Harmothoe dictoyophora, and Harmothoe sp. nov. 1, respectively. 2. Confirmation was obtained for the species Arctonoe vittata, Hyperhalosydna striata, Lepidonotus dentatus, Hermilepidonotus helotypus, Halosydnopsis pilosa, Hermenia acantholepis, Paradyte crinoidicola, P. levis, and Gaudichaudius cimax. 3. Two new (Malmgreniella sp. nov. 1, Harmothoe sp. nov. 3) and nine other species (Iphione ovata, Hermilepidonotus robustus, Heteralentia ptycholepis, Nonparahalosydna pleiolepis, Thormora jukesii, Australonoe willani, Gattyana pohaiensis, Harmothoe cylindrica, and Paralepidonotus ampulliferus) were newly recorded in Korean waters. 4. The misidentified species, Lepidasthenia berkelae was identified as the unrecorded species, Lepidasthenia interrupta, and Lepidasthenia izukai, transferred to the genus Telolepidasthenia. 5. The misidentified species, Lepidonotus tenuisetosus and Lepidonotus sagamianus, previously identified in Japanese waters, have been synonymized with Lepidonotus elongatus based on molecular data. 6. The genus Eunoe showed a single clade after molecular analysis; further taxonomic study is needed to confirm its taxonomic status. This study provided a taxonomic key and records for 36 species belonging to five subfamilies and 22 genera, including six new species and 15 previously unrecorded ones. Additionally, genetic information was obtained from mtCOI and 16S rDNA genes for 29 species. |한국산 다모류 비늘갯지렁이과의 분류학적 연구를 수행하였다. 분류학적 문헌을 바탕으로 기재된 비늘갯지렁이과 31종을 대상으로 생물지리학적 범위, 형태 및 유전자 자료를 분류학적 재검토하였다. "Reverse taxonomy" 방식을 사용하여 mtCOI 분자형질과 형태적 특징을 통해 미기재종이나 오동정을 식별하였다. 분류학적 재검토 결과는 다음과 같다: 1. 기재종인 Lepidasthenia stylolepis, Lepidonotus squamatus, Halosydna brevisetosa, Eunoe oerstedi, Eunoe senta, Harmothoe imbricata, Harmothoe hirusta, Lagisca waahli 는 각 각 Perolepis oshimai, Lepidonotus sp. nov. 1, Halosydna nebulosa 와 Halosydna sp. nov. 1, Eunoe barbata, Eunoe spinosa, Harmothoe sp. nov. 2 and Harmothoe forcipata, Harmothoe dictoyophora, Harmothoe sp. nov. 1로 동정됨. 2. Arctonoe vittata, Hyperhalosydna striata, Lepidonotus dentatus, Hemilepidonotus helotypus), Halosydnopsis pilosa, Hermenia acantholepis, Paradyte crinoidicola, Paradyte levis, Gaudichaudius cimax의 종에 대한 확증. 4. 본 연구를 통해 2 신종후보종 Malmgreniella sp. nov. 1과 Harmothoe sp. nov. 3 및 Iphione ovata, Hemilepidonotus robustus, Heteralentia ptycholepis, Nonparahalosydna pleiolepis, Thormora jukesii, Australonoe willani, Gattyana pohaiensis, Harmothoe cylindrica, Paralepidonotus ampulliferus 9종의 미기록 후보종에 대한 기재. 5. Lepidasthenia berkelae 는 미기록 후보종인 Lepidasthenia interrupta로 재동정되었고, Lepidasthenia izukai와 더불어 Telolepidasthenia속으로 이동됨. 6. 형태적으로 오동정이 확인된 Lepidonotus tenuisetosus와 일본 기재종인 Lepidonotus sagamianus는 분자형질 분석 결과에 따라 Lepidonotus elongatus로 동정됨. 7. Eunoe속은 분자분석 결과 한 클레이드를 나타내며, 추후 연구가 필요. 따라서, 이 연구를 통해 6개의 신종 및 15개의 미기록 후보종을 포함한 5과 22속의 36종에 대한 검색표와 기재를 제시하였으며, 29종의 mtCOI와 16S rDNA 유전자 정보를 얻었다.
