PDA폰 디스플레이 디자인의 유저빌리티 평가에 관한 연구

Abstract

향후 Post-Pc제품 중 수요가 증대될 것으로 예상되는 제품으로 모든 정보를 수용하고 있는 PDA폰은 메뉴 검색 시 스타일러스나 손으로 직접입력이 가능함으로써 사용자에게 편리함을 주고 있다. 하지만 현재 PDA폰은 제조회사마다 서로 다른 디스플레이 디자인을 보이고 있어 동일 제조사의 제품이라도 인터페이스가 일관성 없이 디자인되어 효과적인 정보전달이 용이하지 않다는 사용성 문제점이 있다.그만큼 제한된 디스플레이 안에서의 인터페이스는 매우 중요해지고 있으며 메뉴 하나에 여러 부가기능이 늘어나면서 제한된 수의 이동구조로 메뉴를 검색할 때 많은 시간이 소모되고, 많은 오류로 사용자에게 불편을 주고 있어 효과적으로 편리한 제품을 접할 수 있는 개선안이 요구되고 있다.이에 본 연구에서는 합목적인 평가를 위해 유저빌리티 기초 요소(Factor)를 기반으로 하여 선별된 두 가지 평가방법을 한 도표 안에 병행하여 PDA폰 디스플레이에서 나타나는 문제점을 효과적으로 도출하고자 한다.;Among these Post-PC products, the PDA phone has compound functions accommodating all kinds of information and is usable in any place at any time without any limitation. The PDA phone gives convenience to the users when they are searching for the menu as it is possible to simply input information on the display with the stylus or finger. However, current PDA phones show different interface display design by manufacturers, and even when they are products from the same manufacturer, problems related to consistency in updating of the technology, and usability, which refers to the difficulty of achieving effective information communication, are getting even bigger.Likewise, interface within a limited display is more and more important.Thus, this study aims to identify the problems in the PDA phone display interface that appear while using the PDA phone menus, by using the Heuristic Evaluation method, which is an existing qualitative interface evaluation method and the quantitative GOMS as well as their combined graph.
