Abstract

This dissertation introduces a plan and outline of “Spectra”, a graduation performance to obtain a master's degree. In terms of “Spectra”, the sensibility of art which means “I” is not restrained from any art form or technical character. Because a ‘performance’ has both time and spatial properties; ‘real-time' and ‘the existence of audiences’, this performance aims to communicate with audiences beyond the performer's one-sided expression. The illustration, titled “Universe”, and a 4-cut cartoon, “Gray Heart”, are used on the poster and booklet. Two characters, titled “Buy first before saying” and “Do first before saying” are designed for costumes and goods stickers. All compositions are performed as a visual performance accompanied by lyrics videos and a playback system. To help audiences understand from their point of view, there are programs about explanations of the performance. Art can be defined as an act of delivering one’s emotions to another through various expressions. If it is clear what I want to say, there isn't any restriction on the way of expression. Furthermore, I will continue to study the expression methods and philosophy of more diverse fields of art in the future. And, I believe that those studies will be inspired me to create original artworks and various activities.|본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업공연 “Spectra”의 기획 의도와 선보인 작품의 개요를 소개한 것이다. 종합 예술 공연을 표방한 본 공연의 주제인 “Spectra”는 프리즘을 통해 펼쳐지는 스펙트럼을 ‘나’라는 자아의 예술적 감성과 표현에 비유한 것이다. 공연은 총 10개의 작품으로, Live Performance와 Visual Performance가 포함된 자작곡 6곡과 일러스트레이션 1개, Media Arts 1개, Vector Graphic Design을 통해 만들어진 캐릭터 로고 1쌍, 4컷 만화 1편으로 구성하였다. Live Performance는 악기 연주자와 Standalone Sequencer인 Akai MPC One을 함께 배치하여 Drum Pad와 XY Pad를 활용한 퍼포먼스를 선보이며, 음악의 본래 작곡 의도를 최대한 재현하기 위한 Playback System을 적극적으로 활용하였다. 무대 뒤편의 스크린을 활용한 Visual Performance는 Lyrics Video 컨셉으로 구성하였으며 음악의 편곡과 음향에 대응하는 시각 효과를 적극적으로 활용하였다. 공연 포스터와 프로그램 리플렛 제작에는 일러스트레이션 “Universe”와 만화 “Gray Heart”를, 공연 의상과 굿즈 스티커 제작에는 캐릭터 로고 “사고 말해”와 “하고 말해”를 활용하였으며 관객의 작품 해석 및 이해를 돕기 위한 프로그램을 별도로 배치하였다. 본 논문을 통하여 공연의 기획 의도와 작품의 개요가 명확히 전달되기를 기대한다.
