좌련시기 여성의 생존현실과 혁명의식 탐구

Abstract

중국 여성의 각성은 19세기 말 시작되었다. 청 왕조의 부정부패로 나라가 점차 쇠퇴의 길로 접어들고, 서구 열강의 침략이 진행되자 여러 사회 문제가 표면으로 드러났다. 그러자 사회 곳곳에서 변혁을 위해 움직이기 시작했다. 지식인들은 서구의 민주와 과학을 내건 5⦁4운동을 전개했고 대중은 각성하여 변화의 주체로 성장했다. 여성들은 사회 운동은 물론, 여성 해방 운동을 전개했다. 그 과정에서 여성 문인들이 문단에 등단해 새로운 여성상을 제시하며 적극적으로 여성 대중을 계몽하기 시작했다. 謝冰瑩과 草明도 20세기 초 등장해 사회변화를 이끈 여성 해방 운동가이자 여성 문학에 새로운 관점을 제시했던 여성문인이다. 본고에서는 좌련시기 문단의 중심에서 활동했던 謝冰瑩과 草明의 초기 문학 작품에 등장한 여성의 삶과 현실에 주목했다. 이를 바탕으로 여성의 생존현실과 혁명의식을 살펴 좌련시기 여성문학의 시대적 의미와 謝冰瑩과 草明의 작품의 문학사적 가치를 밝혀보고자 했다. 이와 관련해 다음과 같은 사실을 규명했다. 첫째, 謝冰瑩과 草明이 작품을 통해 제 시한 당시 여성은 다층적 억압의 착취 대상이었다. 국내외의 혼란으로 좌련시기 여성들은 사회, 경제적 고통을 겪었을 뿐 아니라 그로 인해 여성 개인의 가치관에도 혼란 을 겪어야 했다. 두 사람은 이러한 여성의 생존현실을 드러내어 여성을 억압하는 사 회 구조적 모순을 끊임없이 지적했다. 둘째, 謝冰瑩과 草明은 다층적 억압의 대상이었던 여성의 생존현실을 고발함과 동시에 여성들의 혁명의식에 집중해 여성의 성장을 독려했다. 사회와 가정으로부터 억압받았던 여성들은 부정한 현실을 타파하기 위해 실천방안을 모색했다. 그 결과, 여성들은 마르크스주의 사상을 받아들이고 혁명의식을 고양해 사회변혁을 위한 여성 혁명가가 되었다. 셋째, 謝冰瑩과 草明은 女兵과 女工이라는 신여성의 형상을 수립해 여성의 성장을 독려하고 다가올 미래에 대한 희망적 전망을 제시했다. 謝冰瑩과 草明은 여성의 성장을 독려하면서 강인하고 대담한 여성의 모습을 구현해 여성의 성장이 사회 변화로 이 어질 수 있다는 희망적인 메시지까지 전달했다. 급변하는 국내외의 정세로 그 어느 때보다 여성의 삶이 힘들었던 좌련시기, 두 문인은 여성이 가정과 사회로부터 해방되어 독립적인 존재가 되길 염원했다. 정치 이념 의 대립이라는 시대적 특성을 이해하면서 그 시대적 특성의 근간이 되는 혁명의식을 여성 성장의 동력으로 제시하여 사회 변화의 희망을 내보였다. 여성해방에서 사회변혁으로 시야를 확장했던 謝冰瑩과 草明은 좌련시기 여성 문학을 이끌었던 문인이자 열정적인 혁명가이다.|The awakening of Chinese women began in the late 19th century. As the country gradually entered a path of decline due to corruption in the Qing Dynasty and the invasion of Western powers proceeded, various social problems emerged. Then, everywhere in society began to move for change. Intellectuals launched the 5⦁4Movement, and the public was awakened and grew into the subject of change. Women launched a women's liberation movement as well as a social movement. Female writers began to actively enlighten the female public by presenting new female images. Xie Bingying(謝冰瑩) and Caoming(草明) also appeared in the early 20th century and are women's liberation activists who led social change and women's literature who presented a new literary perspective to women's literature. In this paper, we focused on the life and reality of women who appeared in early literary works by Xie Bingying and Caoming, who were active at the center of the literature during the Zuo-lian period. In this regard, the following facts were identified. First, women were subject to exploitation of multi-layered oppression at the time presented by Xie Bingying and Caoming through their works. Second, Xiebingying and Caoming accused the reality of women's survival, which was subject to multi-layered oppression, while at the same time focusing on women's revolutionary consciousness to encourage women's growth. Third, Xie Bingying and Caoming presented female soliders and female factory workers, encouraging women's growth and suggesting hopeful prospects for the future ahead. During the Zuo-lian period, when women's lives were more difficult than ever due to the rapidly changing domestic and international situation, the two writers hoped that women would be freed from home and society and become independent. Xie Bingying and Caoming, who expanded their horizons from women's liberation to social transformation, were writers and passionate revolutionaries who led women's literature during the Zuo-lian period.
