허브공항 환승관광 프로그램 활성화를 위한 사례연구 - 해외 허브공항 사례들을 중심으로 -

Abstract

허브공항은 도시의 관문이자산업들의 핵심인프라로작용하여 일자리창출을 비롯하여 국가 경제와 경쟁력과도 밀접한 관련이 있다. 따라서 허브공항 지위 유지 및 강화를 위해 환승율 지표는 매우 중요하므로 환승객 유치를 위한 다양한 방법이 모색되어야 한다. 더욱이 환승객의 소비는 공항 및 인근 도시의 수익으로이어지기때문에블루오션및 니치마켓 차원에서도 매우 중요하다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 해외 유명 허브공항들의 환승관광 프로그램 사례 조사를 통해 세계 주요 허브공항의 환승관광 프로그램의 특징을 탐색하고 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 연구목적을 위해 어떻게, 왜라는 질문에 적합한 Yin(2016)의 사례연구방법을 활용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유명 해외 허브공항의 환승관광 프로그램에서 도시 접근성은 나리타를 제외하고 공항 접근성이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 유명 해외 허브공항의 환승관광 프로그램의 형태와 속성에 대한 결과는 해당 국가의 역사가 오래될수록 역사와 전통성을 느낄 수 있는 문화체험 프로그램이 활성화되고 있었다. 본 연구의 이론적 의의는 해외 유명 허브공항이 가진 환승관광 프로그램의 특징을 파악하여 환승관광 프로그램의 중요성을 알리고 이론적 확장에 기여하는데 있다. 실무적 관점에서는 인천국제공항의 환승관광 프로그램 제고를 위한 정책적 방안제시의 의의를 가진다.;Hub airports are the gateway to the city and the core infrastructure of industries, which are closely related to job creation effect, national economy, and global competitiveness. Since the transfer rate is important as an indicator of hub airport, various methods should be sought to attract transfer passengers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of transfer tourism programs at major hub airports in the world and to derive implications through case studies of transfer tourism programs at famous hub airports abroad. For the purpose of the study, the case study method of Yin (2016) suitable for the question of how and why was used. As a result of the study, first, in the transfer tourism program at famous overseas hub airports, urban accessibility was high except for Narita. Second, As the history of the country becomes longer, cultural experience programs where you can feel the history an tradition are being activated. The theoretical significance of this study is to contribute to the theoretical expansion by grasping the characteristics of transfer tourism programs of famous overseas hub airports. In practice, it is meaningful to present policy measures to enhance the transfer tourism program at Incheon International Airport.
