20세기 초 한성부 종로 주변 시전 건물의 공간구조와 특징

Abstract

본 논문은 조선시대 한양의 종로와 남대문로 일대에 설치된 시전이 19~20세기에 어떠한 형태였는지 파악하고 한양의 도시구조와의 관계성을 알아보는데 있다. 청진과 공평 일대의 발굴성과, 시전 관련 도면과 사진, 문헌기록 들을 살펴 종각일대 시전의 건물 유형을 분류해냈다. 그 결과 19세기 이후 종로와 인접한 시전은 정면 2칸, 측면 3칸의 정면 5M 내외, 측면 8M 내외의 시전 기본형이 병렬 배치된 구조였으며, 내부에 통로형 마당을 지니는 형식이었다. 종로 안쪽 시전은 보다 자유로운 필지 형태에 맞는 비정형의 평면 형식을 띠었고, 1~2개 방으로 구성되는 시전에서는 단일 출입구가 있는 중정형 평면도 확인되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 시전 건물은 房단위로 운영되는 방식이 반영되어 내부 공간구조에도 영향을 미쳤으며, 시전 건물의 규모와 양식은 종로변 필지 크기와도 밀접하게 관계되어 있음을 파악할 수 있었다.;The purpose of this thesis is to understand the shape of The Sijeon (Licensed-Markets) established around the Jongno and Namdaemun-ro Avenues in Hanyang during the Joseon Dynasty in the 19th and 20th centuries and then to examine the relationship with the urban structures of Hanyang City. By investigating the excavation results of the Cheongjin and Gongpyeong areas, drawings, photos, and documentary records related to the city, this study classified the building types in the Jonggak area. As a result, since the 19th century, the basic form of Sijeon with 2 Gan(間, bay) in the front facade and 3 Gan(間) on the side, in other words, 5M in the front and 8M in the side was arranged in parallel, and it was a type with a corridor-type courtyard inside. The inner sides of Jongno Avenue had an atypical flat shape that suited the more free lot, and a courtyard-type plan with a single entrance was also confirmed in the one or two Bang(房, district). This study reflected the operation method of the Sijeon buildings b between the one unit and the other units, which affected the internal spatial structures, and it found that the size and style of the Sijeon buildings were closely relevant to the size of the lots near Jongno Avenue.
