대학생이 지각한 부모양육태도가 대학생활 부적응에 미치는 영향에서 우울과 대인관계문제의 순차매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 부모양육태도와 대학생활 부적응의 관계에서 우울과 대인관계문제의 순차매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 또한, 부모양육태도를 세 가지 유형(거부적, 애정적, 과보호적)으로 나누어 대학생활 부적응에 차이가 있는지 확인하였다. 이를 위해 전국 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 574명을 대상으로 부모양육태도, 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응의 척도를 사용하여 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료들의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 SPSS 24 및 SPSS Process Macro를 사용하였다. 각 변인들의 상관관계와 중다회귀분석을 실시하였고, 간접효과를 알아보기 위해 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모양육태도, 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응 간에 모두 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 거부적 양육태도는 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응과 정적 상관관계를, 애정적 양육태도는 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응과 부적 상관관계를, 과보호적 양육태도는 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응과 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 부모양육태도와 대학생활 부적응의 관계에서 우울이 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모양육태도와 대학생활 부적응의 관계에서 대인관계문제가 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부모양육태도와 대학생활 부적응의 관계에서 우울과 대인관계문제가 순차매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 부모양육태도가 대학생활 부적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만, 부모양육태도는 우울과 대인관계문제를 순차적으로 매개하여, 대학생활 부적응에 영향을 미침을 의미한다. 본 연구는 상담장면에서 대학생활 부적응을 겪는 대학생들을 대상으로 상담의 방향을 제공했다는 점에 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 부모양육태도와 대학생활 부적응의 관계에서 우울과 대인관계문제의 순차매개효과가 입증되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 상담장면에서 대학생활 부적응을 겪는 대학생들을 대상으로 우울을 낮추고 대인관계문제를 개선하도록 상담의 방향을 제공했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

주제어: 대학생, 부모양육태도, 우울, 대인관계문제, 대학생활 부적응 | The purpose of this study was to examine the sequential mediating effects of depression and interpersonal problems on the influence of parenting attitudes perceived by university students on the maladjustment in university life. For this study, questionnaires were conducted to 574 university students in Korea to measure parenting attitudes, depression, interpersonal problems, and the maladjustment in university life. The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 24, SPSS Process Macro, multiple regression analysis, and bootstrapping. The results of this study are as follows. First, all variables(parenting attitudes, depression, interpersonal problems, the maladjustment in university life) were found to have significant correlations. Second, depression showed a partially mediating effect in the relationship between parenting attitudes and the maladjustment in university life. Third, interpersonal problems showed a partially mediating effect in the relationship between parenting attitudes and the maladjustment in university life. Finally, the results indicate that depression and interpersonal problems would play sequential mediating roles in the relationship between parenting attitudes and the maladjustment in university life. Based on these results, this study shows that the counseling to reduce depression symptoms and resolve interpersonal problems is necessary for the students suffering the maladjustment in university life. Therefore, this study is significant for providing a basis for intervention in the counseling scene for university students.
