C. Franck의 Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8의 분석 및 피아노 파트에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 자신만의 철학과 색깔을 확고하게 나타낸 프랑크의 <Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8>을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 피아노 파트 연주에 대한 이해를 높여 바이올린과 피아노 간의 조화로운 연주를 하는 데에 목적을 두고자 한다. 프랑크가 활동한 19세기에는 오페라(Opera) 등의 극음악들이 인기가 있었으나, 그는 이러한 시대적인 흐름에 온전히 순응하기보다 고전적인 형식을 바탕으로 하여 바그너의 반음계주의, 리스트의 관현악적 색채 등 낭만주의적 특성들을 실험적이고 참신하게 녹여낸 작곡가였다. 그의 음악은 60세 이후에 비로소 세상의 빛을 보기 시작하였으며, 그 전환점이 된 대표적인 곡이 바로 1886년 작곡된 <Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8>이다. 이 작품에서 가장 중요하게 논의되는 것으로 순환형식을 말할 수 있으며, 네 개의 순환동기를 반복, 변형시켜 단순한 모방 기법이 아닌 다양한 선율들을 보여준다. 이를 통해, 4악장으로 이루어진 큰 규모의 곡을 유기적으로 이어지게 하여 통일감을 준다. 본 논문에서는 프랑크의 삶과 음악적 특징들을 고찰하고, <Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8>의 작곡 배경 및 각 악장의 구조와 특성을 알아본다. 또한 프랑크 음악의 대표적인 특징인 순환형식을 비롯하여 반음계 선율이 적용된 부분들과 큰 변화가 이루어지는 부분의 연결 방식 등의 연구를 통해, 음악가들이 작곡가의 의도를 정확하게 파악하여 연주를 하도록 도움을 주고자 한다. |This paper analyzes Franck's Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8, which firmly expresses its own philosophy and color, and aims to improve understanding of piano part performance and play harmonious performance between violin and piano. In the 19th century, when Frank was active, theatrical music such as Opera was popular, but he was a composer who experimentally and innovatively melted romantic traits such as Wagner's anti-toneism and Liszt's orchestral colors based on classical forms rather than fully adapting to the trend. His music began to see the light of the world after the age of 60, and his representative song was "Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8", which was composed in 1886. The most important discussion in this work is the circular form, and the four circulating motives are repeated and transformed to show various melodies, not just imitation techniques. Through this, a large-scale song consisting of four movements is organically connected to give a sense of unity. In this paper, Frank's life and musical characteristics are examined, and the background of the composition of <Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major, FWV 8> and the structure and characteristics of each movement are examined. In addition, it is intended to help musicians accurately grasp the composer's intention and play through research on the circulatory form, which is a representative feature of Frankish music, and the connection method of parts with semi-tone melodies.
