공포 발화의 음성적 특징 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 감정 중립 발화와 공포 발화에서 나타나는 음성적인 특성을 연구한 것이다. 서울과 경기, 인천 지역에 거주하는 대학생 남녀 각각 10명을 선정하여 총 240개의 발화를 분석하였으며 같은 집단을 대상으로 감정 중립 발화와 공포 발화를 비교, 대조하여 나타나는 음성적 특성을 찾는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 감정 중립 발화와 공포 발화의 특성을 강도, 억양, 발화 시간을 비교하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 남녀 모두 감정 중립 발화보다 공포 발화에서 강도가 커지는 현상을 찾을 수 있었으며 강도의 변화는 여성에게서 더욱 두드러지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 억양은 감정 중립 발화와 공포 발화 모두 최고 피치값에서 큰 차이를 보였다. 남녀 모두 감정 중립 발화와 공포 발화에 있어 감정을 억양의 높낮이 변화로 표출하지만 이러한 감정의 표출은 남자보다는 여자에게서 더욱 명확한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 발화 시간에 있어서는 그 차이가 크지 않았다. 다만 공포 발화에서 남자는 전체 문장의 발화 시간도 짧아지고 마지막 음절의 발화 시간 역시 짧아졌는데 여자는 전체 문장의 발화 시간은 짧아졌으나 오히려 마지막 음절은 좀 더 길게 구현하는 방식을 보였다는 것이 특이한 점이었다. This study identified the phonetic characteristics of emotional neutrality speech and fear speech. An analysis was made on 240 speech gathered from a total of 20 male and female university students, 10 from each sex, who live in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, or Incheon regions. The purpose of this analysis was to find the phonetic characteristics that appear through a comparison of emotional neutrality speech and fear speech within the same group. The characteristics of emotional neutrality speech and fear speech were analyzed by comparing intensity, pitch, and speech duration. The results showed that both males and females showed increased intensity in fear speech compared to emotional neutrality speech, and the change in intensity was more prominent in females. Large differences in maximum pitch values were found in both emotional neutrality speech and fear speech for pitch. It was found that while both males and females expressed emotions through changes in pitch for both emotional neutrality speech and fear speech, such expressions of emotions were more obvious in females than in males. There was not a large difference in speech duration. However, an interesting point was that in the case of fear speech, while the speech duration of entire sentences became shorter and the speech duration of the last syllable also decreased for males, females showed the same decreased speech duration for the entire sentence but rather expressed the last syllable for a longer duration.
