|Recently, as the industry develops, a change in the trend of machine vision is taking place. In order to obtain images of small and diverse products, bulky and expensive lighting has been used in the past. Nowadays, industrial settings are demanding miniaturized and cheap lighting with less space constraints. Among the lights, we intend to fabricate flat panel lighting for machine vision using Local Grating Array(LGA) based on grating instead of conventional diffuse type flat lighting. The advantage of the flat light produced in this way is that it is a system that can be freely adjusted only by changing the period and direction of the grating structure, and has directivity and high degree of freedom.
In this paper, the period of flat illumination to be manufactured was calculated using the MC grating software, and based on this, a flat panel illumination system with 10um resolution was designed using the MATLAB software. Using the designed data, the grating structure was implemented through the exposure equipment and the grating was transcripted to the light guide plate (LGP) of the lighting through the UV-imprinting process. In this way, three types of flat-panel lighting were fabricated, and the functional principle of lighting was verified by comparing them. And we will try to deal with the potential of lighting using LGA through the difference among these lights.
