앤 불린의 ‘광란의 노래’ 분석연구

Abstract

본 연구는 16세기 튜더 왕조에 실존했던 여왕 ‘앤 불린’이 처형 직전에 겪었던 광란을 다룬 두 작품, 도니제티의 오페라≪안나 볼레나≫와 라슨의 연가곡≪나를 심판 하소서, 선한 왕이시여≫ 중 제2곡 ‘앤 불린’을 분석한다. 본문의 첫 번째 장에서는 앤 불린의 생애를 통해 그녀의 성격을 이해하고, 다양한 시대의 다양한 예술작품 속에서 재현되는 그녀의 이미지 변화를 살펴본다. 이를 바탕으로 그녀의 광기를 조명한 도니제티와 라슨의 작품의 배경을 이해한다. 본문의 두 번째 장에서는 도니제티의 오페라 중 2막 7장과 8장을 중심으로 안나의 광기가 벨칸토 스타일로 표현됨을 확인한다. 본문의 세 번째 장에서는 라슨의 연가곡 중 제2곡 ‘앤 불린’에 사용된 현대적 작곡기법의 특성을 살펴보고, 두 작품 모두에 적용된 인용기법의 의미를 탐구한다. 이 연구는 19세기 이탈리아 벨칸토 오페라와 20세기 미국 연가곡 속에서 앤 불린이라는 동일 인물이 서로 다르게 묘사된다는 점에 착안하여, 두 작품의 시대와 지역, 장르의 차이에서 기인하는 표현기법의 차이를 비교 분석한다. |This study examines Donizetti’s opera Anna Bolena, and Anne Boleyn of Larson’s song cycle Try me, Good King, two works that deal with the frenzy of Queen Anne Boleyn in the Tudor dynasty in the 16th century just before her execution. In the first chapter, we understand Anne Boleyn's life that had no choice but to go crazy by looking at the changes in her image in music, painting, movies, dramas and novels through the times. The second and third chapter analyze how Anne Boleyn's mad songs are expressed differently in 19th-century opera and 20th-century modern songs. This study compares and analyzes the differences among the times, regions, genres, and gender of the two works that illuminated the mental breakdown of a real person named Anne Boleyn. This analysis method allows for an understanding that expressing the same situation differently is due to the musical style of the times beyond just the differences in the perspective of the individual composers.
