dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to identify the current issues of collaboration between designers and contractors in a Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based project under Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contract. The advent of BIM technology brings more effective collaboration to Architect, Engineer, and Construction (AEC) industry, to overcome the separated characteristics of traditional DBB delivery system. However, previous studies showed that DBB method is not ideal for maximizing the potential benefits of BIM. Therefore, this study synthesizes these current issues exist in BIM-based DBB project through a literature review, then conduct interview with experts in the industry to investigate the potential solutions.en_US
