The variability of residential space means that a given space can have different functions through different designs, and its flexibility is better through the rational organization of the space. Or the function of the room can be changed at any time without other changes. Or through the change of wall, according to household demand namely, will size space is converted flexibly. Its fundamental purpose is to better satisfy the comfortability of resident residence. The first essence of residential buildings is for people to live in. However, as a material entity, the physical aging period (structural life, can be as long as 100 years) and its mental aging period (use function, generally only about 20 years) are greatly different from each other. With the passage of time, the household’s family size, occupation and health status have changed a lot. It is inevitable that the use function of the residence can be adjusted with the dynamic development of such uncertainty to better adapt to the needs of the household.en_US
