장애인과 비장애인의 이동패턴 연구: 시간적 차원을 중심으로

Abstract

연구목적: 이 연구는 시간적 차원에서 장애인과 비장애인의 이동패턴(이동시간대 및 이동시간량)을 비교한다. 연구방법: 이론적 논의를 통해 장애인과 비장애인의 차별된 이동패턴의 명제에 대한 연역적 도출을 시도하였다. 이후 통계청의 ‘2014 생활시간조사 데이터’를 사용하여 시간적 차원에서 장애인과 비장애인의 이동패턴(이동시간량, 이동시간대)을 실증적으로 비교분석하였다. 연구결과: 장애인과 비장애인의 이동시간대를 비교한 결과, 장애인과 비장애인의 주요 이동시간대는 달리 나타났다. 비장애인의 주요 이동시간대가 각각 8:00와 18:30분에 정점을 이루는 반면 장애인의 경우 각각 10:00와 17:30분의 시간대에 이동률의 정점이 나타나, 장애인과 비장애인의 주요 이동시간대는 약 한 시간의 간극이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 주말 이동시간대 역시, 장애인의 이동이 비장애인에 비해 일찍 시작되어 10:00이후 급감하는 양상이 나타난대 반해 비장애인의 이동은 8:00부터 꾸준한 증가추이를 보여 장애인과 비장애인의 구분되어 있는 이동시간대를 확인할 수 있었다. 장애인과 비장애인의 이동시간량을 비교한 결과, 장애인의 이동시간량은 비장애인에 비해 적은 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 장애를 가지고 있을 때, 전체이동시간량 및 주말, 주중 모두의 이동시간량은 감소하였다. 특히 주말 이동시간량의 경우 장애인과 비장애인 간 이동시간량의 격차가 크게 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 장애인과 비장애인 간 차별된 이동시간대 및 이동시간량을 설명한다. Purpose: This study compares mobility patterns(travel time and amount of time) between people with disabilities and people without disabilities. Methods: A proposition of difference in mobility patterns between the disabled and those without disabilities was deducted. The proposition was empirically examined using ‘2014 Time Use Data’. Results: It was found that time-based mobility patterns of the disabled were different from those of people without disabilities. The proportion of those who traveled showed the peak at 8:00 a.m. and 18:30 p.m. for those without disabilities, while 10:00 a.m. and 17:30 p.m. were the peak for the disabled. The similar patterns were also found in weekends. The disabled started going out earlier than those without disabilities and the proportion of those who moved dropped significantly after 10:00 a.m.. However, for those without disabilities, the proportion of people who traveled increased consistently after 8:00 a.m. during weekends. in terms of the amount of time moving, the disabled were less mobile then their counterparts. The differences in the amount of time moving between two groups of people were more significant in weekends than in weekdays. The current study’s findings reveals the significant differences in time-based mobility patterns between the disabled and those without disabilities.
