Conceptualizing Hanminjok-Damunhwa Through Cultural Meanings of the Oral Life Histories of Ethnic Korean Return Migrants

Abstract

웨어러블 디바이스의 도입시기와 맞물려 스마트폰을 활용한 모바일 헬스케어 서비스는 향후 IT시장에서 가장 성장 가능성이 높은 분야로 주목받고 있다. 일상에서의 헬스케어는 대부분의 사람들이 높은 니즈를 갖고 있으나, 실제 지속적으로 행동을 유지하기 어려운 현상이 있으며 이를 개인이 매일 휴대하는 스마트폰을 통해 효과적으로 관리하는 것이 UX 디자인 과제이다. 이 연구에서는 모바일에 기본으로 탑재된 어플리케이션 중 가장 대중화된 갤럭시 S4의 ‘S Health’ 어플리케이션을 대상으로, 사용자들의 지속적 사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 조사하였다. 건강관리 프로그램의 장기 사용의도를 측정하기 위하여 기존 서비스 품질 측정에 사용되었던 SERVQUAL 척도를 활용하여 만족도를 평가하였다. 측정된 만족도를 바탕으로 어플리케이션에서 사용자에게 만족을 줄 수 있는 요인들을 분석하고, 이를 지속적 사용 의도에 맞추어 세부 개선안들을 제시한다. 이러한 결과는 향후 바이오센싱이 있는 디바이스와 연계된 모바일 건광관리 서비스 디자인에 유용한 가이드라인을 제시해 줄 것이다. The ongoing global health crisis has exposed the resilience of exclusive ethnic nationalism. Reflecting on this, this paper explores a new concept, hanminjok-damunhwa, which was suggested by an oral history project designed to critically explore the dominant discourse on the Korean national identity in South Korea by collecting oral life histories of ethnic Korean return migrants from public memory perspectives. It may seem oxymoronic to combine the words hanminjok (Korean ethnic nation) and damunhwa (multiculture), but these terms can be understood in many ways. In the sense of the publicness of memory, the oral history project aims to provide diverse and alternative memories of the Korean ethnicity/nation against a dogmatic and exclusive public memory in which ordinary South Koreans interact, deliberate, and share
