The impact of trade facilitation of importing countries on China's exports

Abstract

In the context of international trade when importing countries raise import tariffs, some invisible trade barriers are increasing, such as cumbersome customs procedures, increased transaction costs, etc., which are all trade inefficiency factors that hinder international trade activities. These factors can also be referred to as "trade facilitation". They have had a significantly negative impact on international trade activities. Therefore, trade facilitation has always been a hot issue in international trade, and it is of great practical significance to study it. Taking trade facilitation as the main line, this paper selects 25 major trading partners (regions) of China to study this problem. First of all, this paper introduces the background and significance of this topic, comprehensively reviews the research results of previous scholars on the impact of trade facilitation on export, and summarizes and sorts out the current situation of China's export trade in recent years. Secondly, on the basis of drawing lessons from previous research methods and combining with the new connotation of trade facilitation, trade is constructed. The facilitation index system selects four first-level indicators and divides them into 13 second-level indicators. Stata software was used to assign the weights of 13 second-level indicators with the arithmetic analysis method, to calculate the level of trade facilitation of China's major trading partners from 2009 to 2018, and to make a comparative analysis of them. Then it analyzes the theoretical mechanism of trade facilitation affecting export, respectively from four aspects to explain its influence on export, and introduces the general factors affecting export. Finally, the trade gravity model is set up, and the level of trade facilitation of each country is substituted into the gravity model. The gravity model is extended by using panel data and adding other explanatory variables. The model was regressed by introducing variables gradually. Then it carries on the regression and analysis of the fixed effect, and emphatically analyzes the influence degree of different variables on China's export trade. After verifying that trade facilitation has a significant positive impact on China's export trade, the paper puts forward policy suggestions for China and its trading partners respectively. |수입국들이 수입관세를 올릴 때 국제무역의 맥락에서 번거로운 통관절차, 거래비용 증가 등 일부 보이지 않는 무역장벽이 증가하고 있는데, 이는 모두 국제무역활동을 저해하는 무역비효율 요인이다. 이러한 요인들을 "무역 촉진"이라고도 할 수 있다. 그들은 국제 무역 활동에 현저하게 부정적인 영향을 끼쳤다. 이 보이지 않는 장벽에 대처하기 위해, 모든 나라들은 무역 촉진에 적극적으로 헌신하고 있다. 무역 촉진의 수준 향상은 양측의 무역 활동을 더욱 편리하게 만들 뿐만 아니라 공정하고 효율적이며 조화로운 국제 무역 환경을 구축하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다는 데 의심의 여지가 없다. 따라서, 무역 촉진은 국제 무역에서 항상 뜨거운 이슈였고, 그것을 연구하는 것은 큰 실질적인 의의를 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 무역 촉진법을 주요 노선으로 삼아 이 문제를 연구할 중국의 주요 교역국(지역) 25곳을 선정한다. 우선 본 논문은 이 주제에 대한 배경과 의의를 소개하고, 무역촉진이 수출에 미치는 영향에 대한 기존 학자들의 연구결과를 종합적으로 검토하고, 최근 중국의 수출무역 현황을 정리•정돈한다. 둘째, 이전의 연구 방법에서 교훈을 도출하고 무역 촉진의 새로운 함축과 결합하는 것을 기반으로 무역을 구축한다. 촉진지수 시스템은 네 개의 1단계 지표를 선택하고 13개의 2단계 지표로 나눈다. 스타타 소프트웨어는 산술분석법으로 13개 차수 지표의 가중치를 부여하고, 2009년부터 2018년까지 중국 주요 교역국의 교역촉진 수준을 계산하고, 이를 비교 분석하는 데 활용됐다. 그런 다음 수출에 영향을 미치는 무역 촉진의 이론적 메커니즘을 각각 4가지 측면에서 분석해 수출에 미치는 영향을 설명하고, 수출에 영향을 미치는 일반적인 요인을 소개한다. 마지막으로, 무역 중력 모델이 설정되고, 각 나라의 무역 촉진 수준이 중력 모델로 대체된다. 중력 모델은 패널 데이터를 사용하고 다른 설명 변수를 추가하여 확장된다. 그 모델은 점차 변수를 도입함으로써 퇴보했다. 그런 다음 고정효과의 회귀분석과 분석을 이어가며 중국 수출무역에 미치는 다양한 변수의 영향 정도를 집중적으로 분석한다. 이 신문은 무역촉진이 중국의 수출무역에 상당한 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인한 뒤 중국과 교역 상대국에 대한 정책 제안을 각각 내놓는다.
