도시철도 구축을 통한 영종도의 접근성 및 인프라 개선 방안 연구

Abstract

영종도는 전체 면적 104.28km²중 부지의 약 53%가 동북아 최대 공항 중 하나인 인천국제공항이 자리 잡고 있으며 더 나아가 인천국제공항에 따르면 2029년까지 공항 부지 면적 47km²에 활주로 및 여객 처리 시설을 추가 건설하여 연간 1억 3천만 명이라는 여객을 소화할 것이다. 라고 발표한 바 있다. 또한 여객뿐만 아니라 항공물류 산업단지로써 국내 항공물류의 98%을 담당할 만큼 중요한 요충지이다. 오늘날 영종도는 인천경제자유구역 중 하나이므로 외국인들의 투자처로 관심 받고 있는데 이는 외국인들이 영종도에 대한 투자금과 기업유치 부분에서도 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 그러므로 대한민국의 지리적 특성을 감안하면 영종도는 세계의 여객과 물류 허브 중심지임과 동시에 경제거점으로 발전해 나가고 있다. 한편으로는 금년에 문화체육관광부에서 한국의 관광지로 선정 받은 만큼 국내 관광지로도 자리 매김하고 있다. 최근 영종도는 공항 이용객과 관광 목적으로 한 단순 방문객을 제외하고도 주거 목적의 유입인구가 꾸준히 증가하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 국가통계포털의 공공데이터를 살펴보면 영종 지역의 인구수와 부동산 거래는 최근 5년(2015~2020) 동안 총 거주자 수는 62,136명에서 꾸준히 증가해 현재(2020년 12월 기준) 93,250명으로 50%가 증가했으며 부동산(아파트 기준) 거래량 부분에서도 2015년에는 2,604건에서 2020년 8,272건으로 불과 5년 만에 무려 약 317.7%가 증가했다. | The total area of Yeongjong Island is 104.28 km². About 53% of the site is located at Incheon International Airport, one of the largest airports in Northeast Asia, and Incheon International Airport has announced that it will build additional runways and passenger handling facilities on 47 km²by 2029 to carry 130 million passengers a year. As an aviation logistics industrial complex as well as passengers, it is an important point to account for 98% of domestic aviation logistics. In addition, Yeongjong Island is one of the Incheon Free Economic Zone and is attracting foreign investment and corporate attraction. Therefore, considering the geographical characteristics of the Republic of Korea, Yeongjong Island is developing into an economic hub as well as a hub for passengers and logistics in the world. In addition, as it was selected as a tourist destination in Korea by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism this year, it has also been established as a domestic tourist destination. Recently, Yeongjong Island has seen a steady increase in the number of influxes for residential purposes, except for airport users and simple visitors for tourism purposes. According to public data from the National Statistical Portal, the population of Yeongjong has increased by 50% from 62,136 to 93,250 over the past five years (2015-2020), and real estate (apartment-based) transactions have increased by about 317.7% in just five years from 2,604 to 8,272. As such, Yeongjong Island has continued to grow in the influx of companies, airport users, tourists, and residential purposes, but accessibility from large cities to Yeongjongdo Island and transportation infrastructure in Yeongjong area have not improved. Therefore, this paper analyzed the current status of regional development projects in Yeongjong area, examined the insufficient traffic status and problems compared to the inflow population, and suggested the introduction of new transportation and model measures. It also proposed groundbreaking approaches through urban railways for rapid and efficient access between airports and large cities. Therefore, this study is a study on the possibility of sustainable development in the region through improvement and construction of the comprehensive urban transportation infrastructure in Yeongjong Island.
