중국인 한국어 학습자를 위한 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능과 운율적 특성 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 '그냥'의 담화적 기능과 운율적 특성을 중심으로 논의하였다. 부사 '그냥'과 담화표지 '그냥'의 운율적 차이 및 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능에 따른 운율적 특성을 고찰하였고 중국인 학습자를 위해 서로 헷갈리기 쉬운 기능 간의 운율적 차이도 분석하였다. 1장에서는 연구의 목적과 필요성, 선행연구와 연구 방법을 기술하였다. 선행연구는 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능에 관한 연구와 담화표지의 운율적 특성에 관한 연구 두 부분으로 나누어 비판적으로 논의하고 정리하였다. 연구 방법은 연구 자료 선정, 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능 분석 방법, '그냥'의 운율적 특성 분석 방법 세 부분으로 나누어 본고의 핵심 내용을 분석하는 방법을 설명하였다. 2장에서는 담화표지의 개념, 분류, 특징, 기능과 한국어 운율 전사 규약인 K-ToBI에 대해 파악함으로써 본 연구의 이론적 기초를 구축하였다. 이는 앞에 선행연구에 관한 다룸과 같이 본고의 이론적인 뒷받침이 되었다. 3장에서는 '그냥'의 사용 양상과 운율적 특성을 분석하였다. 우선 부사 '그냥'의 사전적 의미와 '그냥'이 담화표지로 쓰이는 타당성을 고찰하였다. 도출한 결과와 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 담화표지 '그냥'의 판별 기준을 도출하였고, 이를 통해 연구 자료에서 추출한 1069개의 '그냥'을 부사와 담화표지로 분류하였다. 분류된 '그냥'의 운율적 특성을 분석하고 부사 '그냥'과 담화표지 '그냥'의 운율적 차이를 찾아냈다. 4장에서는 본 연구의 가장 핵심 부분인 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능에 따른 운율적인 특성을 분석하였다. 우선 기능 분석의 틀에 의해 담화표지 '그냥'의 기능을 확정하였고 확정된 기능별에 따라 담화표지 '그냥'을 분류하였다. 이어서 담화적 기능에 따라 '그냥'의 9가지 기능과 '음높이 유형', '길이', '휴지'의 실현 영상을 기술하였다. 마지막으로 운율적 요소에 따라 기능별 담화표지 '그냥'의 운율 특성을 정리하고 대비 분석하였다. 5장에서는 중국인 한국어 학습자가 담화표지 '그냥'에 대한 이해를 분석하였다. 우선 중국인 한국어 고급 학습자 10명을 대상으로 인터뷰 조사를 진행했고 피험자가 기능에 따른 오답 빈도와 오답 의거를 정리하였다. 이어서 제4장에서 도출한 결과를 바탕으로 서로 헷갈리기 쉬운 기능 간의 운율적 차이를 논의하였다. 끝으로 6장에서는 본 연구에서 도출한 결과를 종합적으로 기술하였고 본 연구의 의미와 한계점을 밝혔다.

The study considered prosodic differences between the adverbs '그냥' and the discourse marker '그냥'， as well as the prosodic features of functions of the discourse marker '그냥'. Furthermore, the study also analyzed prosodic differences between the functions that are easy to confuse for Chinese learners. Chapter 1 describes the purpose and necessity of the study, as well as prior researches and research methods. Prior researches were critically discussed and organized into two parts: studys on the functions of discourse marker '그냥' and studys on the prosodic features of discourse markers. Research methods were also divided into two parts: the selection of research data, and methods that how to analyse the core contents of the study. Chapter 2 establishes the theoretical foundation of the study by understanding the concept, classification, features, functions, and the Korean Tone and Break Indices Labelling Conventions K-ToBI, which is the theoretical support of this study. Chapter 3 analyzed the patterns and prosodic features of "그냥". First of all, the study considered the dictionary meaning of the adverb "그냥" and the validity of using "그냥" as a discourse maker. Based on the results and the theoretical background, the criteria for the discrimination of discourse maker was derived, and 1,069 "그냥" extracted from the research data were classified as adverb and discourse maker. Then the study analyzed the prosodic features of the classified "그냥" and found the prosodic difference between the adverb "그냥" and the discourse maker "그냥". Chapter 4 analyzed the prosodic features of the functions of the discourse maker "그냥", which is the most important part of this study. First, the functions of the discourse maker "그냥" were determined, and the discourse maker "그냥" was classified according to the determined functions. Then the study described the nine functions of "그냥" and the realization of "tone-height type", "length", and "tissue" according to the discourse functions. Finally, the prosodic features of the discourse maker "그냥" by functions were organized and contrasted according to prosodic elements. Chapter 5 analyzed the understanding of the Chinese Korean learners about discourse maker "그냥". First of all, an interview survey was conducted on 10 Chinese advanced learners of Korean, and the study organized the frequency of wrong answers and the basis of wrong answers according to their description. Then the study discussed prosodic differences between functions that are prone to confusion based on the results derived from Chapter 4. Chapter 6 comprehensively describes the results derived from the study and reveals the significance and limitations of the study.
