실용무용전공대학생의 현대무용 활용 가능성연구

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the possibilities of whether modern dance can be used in their major and through what methods it can be utilized through a multi-faceted review. The subjects of the study are practical dance majoring students who have experience in modern dance classes. To this end, the researcher conducted a qualitative study with four students majoring in practical dance at H University located in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do. The data for this study were collected through related documents, in-depth interviews and descriptive questionnaires. The data collected through the survey went through transcription processing for systematic records, and analysis was conducted through conceptualization and categorization to verify the truth and ethics of the study. The core topic of this study, 'Utilization of Modern Dance', was derived through the analysis of the case of modern dance class of students majoring in practical dance. The results and conclusions of the study are as follows. First, the modern dance class showed a positive effect on all participants, who are majoring in practical dance, in the study. These results can be experienced from various factors of modern dance, and the effects that can be expected from modern dance include expansion, growth and combination of movements, body flexibility, and acquisition of sense of rhythm. (1) Second, the movements in the modern dance class showed their utility value in the process of making the individual movements of the students majoring in practical dance. The movements used for the class showed various characteristics in personality, flexibility, originality, the line of movement (line), respiration, etc., and it was confirmed that there were various types. (2) Third, students majoring in Practical Dance can utilize the effects and movements absorbed from modern dance in various ways, and when used in their majors, you can feel creative movements and new experiences through the original creations from the combination of movements and the complete fusion. Although the necessity of modern dance classes that can learn convergence movements is emphasized, some institutions lack such education. Therefore, students majoring in practical dance, who felt the need, are learning modern dance by participating in workshops and performances held outside the school. As such, it was confirmed that practical dance college students are experiencing difficulties in learning modern dance. To solve this problem, professional and step-by-step educational support is needed. Furthermore, in order to allow modern dance to be used more effectively in practical dance, the modern dance class should not remain as a technical class to learn skills, the process of creating new works along with various movements of modern dance classes should be learned. Only with this, we can expect that it can be positively applied to the major field of individual students.|본 논문에서는 현대무용수업 경험이 있는 실용무용전공대학생들을 대상으로 전공에 있어 현대무용은 활용될 수 있는지, 어떠한 방법을 통해 활용되는지에 관한 가능성을 다각적 검토를 통해 알아보는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 연구자는 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 경기도 안산에 위치한 H 대학교의 재학 중인 실용무용전공대학생 4명을 연구대상으로 질적연구를 실시하였으며, 연구의 자료수집은 관련문서, 심층면담, 서술적 설문지를 통해 수집하였다. 조사를 통해 수집된 자료들은 체계적인 기록을 위해 전사(Transcription)처리 과정을 거쳐 개념화 및 범주화 분석을 통해 연구의 진실성과 윤리성을 검증받았으며 실용무용전공대학생의 현대무용수업 사례에 관한 분석을 통해 본 연구의 핵심주제인 ‘현대무용 활용’이 도출되었다. 연구의 결과와 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실용무용전공대학생의 현대무용 수업은 활용에 있어 연구 참여자 모두에게 긍정적 효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 현대무용의 다양한 요인으로부터 경험할 수 있으며 현대무용으로부터 얻을 수 있는 효과는 장르의 결합을 통한 움직임의 확장, 신체의 유연성, 새로운 리듬감 형성 등이 있다. 둘째, 현대무용수업에서의 움직임은 실용무용전공대학생의 개성 있는 동작을 만드는 과정에서 그 활용가치를 보였으며. 활용 동작의 특징은 개성, 유연성, 독창성, 움직임의 선(ine), 호흡 등에서 다양한 특징을 나타낸다는 것이 확인되었다. 셋째, 실용무용전공 대학생들이 현대무용으로부터 흡수한 움직임을 다양한 방면으로 활용할 수 있으며 자신의 전공에 활용하였을 때, 움직임과 움직임의 결합, 완전한 융합이 됨으로서 창의적인 창작물을 통한 독창적 움직임을 발견할 수 았다. 융합적 움직임을 학습할 수 있는 현대무용 수업의 필요성이 강조되고 있지만 몇몇 기관에서는 이러한 교육이 미비하며, 이에 부족함을 느낀 실용무용 전공대학생들은 더 많은 학습을 하고자 학교를 벗어나 외부에서 진행하는 현대무용 워크숍과 공연작업들에 참여하여 현대무용을 학습하는 실정이다. 이처럼 실용무용전공 대학생의 현대무용 교육에 있어 학습의 어려움을 겪고 있다는 사실이 확인되었으며 이를 해결하기 위해 실용무용전공 대학생을 대상으로 전문적이고 단계적인 교육적 지원이 필요하다. 더 나아가 실용무용에 더욱 효과적으로 활용되기 위해서 현대무용 수업이 단순히 실기 수업으로 그치는 것이 아닌, 현대무용 수업을 통한 다양한 움직임과 더불어 변화시킨 작품을 만들어내는 과정의 학습이 이루어진다면, 개인의 따른 세부 전공 분야에 긍정적으로 적용할 수 있을 것으로 기대할 수 있다.
