교육과정-수업-평가 일체화에 대한 문학교육론적 회의

Abstract

이 글은 최근 학교 현장을 중심으로 일어나고 있는 교육과정-수업-평가의 일체화 흐름에 대해 문학교육의 견지에서 문제를 제기하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 교-수-평 일체화는 모든 교과에서 이상적인 교육의 구도인 것으로 보이지만, 문학교육이 추구해야 할 이상적인 구도는 아닌 것으로 판단된다. 그 이유는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여러 가지 요소의 총체적 구조물인 문학작품의 본질과 어울리지 않는다. 둘째, 구조성, 체계성, 맥락성을 본질로 지닌 지식의 성격과도 어울리지 않는다. 분절적인 성취기준으로 인해 문학의 특정한 자질을 핵심적인 학습 요소로 거느리고 있는 단원에서도 이에서 벗어난 다른 학습 요소가 부가되는 것이 오히려 바람직하다. 이들 잉여적인 학습 활동의 내용들이 오히려 문학교육의 자장을 넓히고 역할을 확대하는 효과를 거둘 것으로 짐작된다. 이것이 문학교육에서 교-수-평 일체화의 경직된 적용을 경계해야 하는 이유이다. The purpose of this essay is to raise the problem of the alignment of curriculumclass- evaluation that is taking place around the school in terms of literature education and to find a desirable composition of literature education. It seems that the alignment of curriculum-class-evaluation is the ideal composition of education in all subjects, but it is not considered the ideal composition of literature education at least. The reason for this is as follows. First, it does not fit with the nature of literary works, which are the overall structure of various elements. Second, it is not compatible with the nature of knowledge that has structure, system, and context as its essence. It is rather desirable to add other elements of learning that are deviated from units that have certain qualities of literature as core learning elements due to the segmental achievement standard. The contents of these surplus learning activities are expected to have the effect of broadening the denotation of literature education and expanding its role. This is why we should be wary of the rigid application of the alignment of curriculum-class-evaluation in literature education.
