음성 사용자 인터페이스(VUI)의 사용성 범주 추출 -AI 비서를 중심으로

Abstract

최근 음성 사용자 인터랙션(Voice User Interface, VUI)이 우리 생활 속에 적용되는 사례가 많아지고 있다. 그러나 VUI 사용성 범주 전체를 아우를 수 있는 실용적인 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 AI 비서를 사용한 경험이 있는 사용자 의견을 바탕으로 VUI의 사용성 범주를 추출하였다. 총 74명의 사용자로부터 AI 비서와 관련된 좋은 점, 불편한 점과 바라는 점을 수집하여 총 464개의 의견을 수집하였으며 이를 바탕으로 질적 연구 분석의 사전목록과 전문가 인터뷰를 통하여 VUI의 사용성 범주 18가지를 도출할 수 있었다. 연구 결과 VUI에서 의인화, 개인화, 투명성과 관련된 요소들이 중요하다는 결론이 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과가 향후 VUI의 사용성과 관련된 연구에 도움이 되길 바란다.

Recently, Voice User Interface(VUI) technologies are widely spreading to our daily life. However, there are few researches to summarize the practical category of usability related to VUI. In this study, we extracted the usability category of VUI based on a series of qualitative researches with participants who have experience in AI assistants. A total of 464 opinions were collected from 74 users by pros, cons and expected values related to AI assistant. Based on this data, 18 types of usability categories of VUI were derived through a qualitative analysis and expert interviews. As a result, we identified that factors related to anthropomorphism, personalization, and transparency are relatively important factors in VUI design. These results will be useful for future studies regarding the usability of VUI.
