노년층을 위한 디자인 사고의 기초

Abstract

현대사회의 급격한 변화 중의 하나는 인간수명의 연장과 재해에 따른 장애인구의 증가이며, 이에 대한 관심과 연구는 비교적 최근에 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구는 주거공간에 대한 우리들의 배려에서 출발한다. 일반적으로 인간의 연령대, 특히 늙어가는 개인들을 위하여 공간과 시설을 점차 바꾸어 나가는 노력을 찾아보기는 쉽지 않다. 인간이 노화하면서 달라지는 요소를 고려하지 않은 공간과 시설은 점점 불편한 공간들로 남고 만다. 이러한 육체적 운동성이 저하된 노인과 장애인들의 공간적 세계를 이해하고 주거시설의 구조와 공간의 개선, 새로운 기술을 도입한 실내기구들에 대한 가능성과 안정성 등을 증진시키기 위한 방안들을 연구하면서 기초가 되는 특성들을 이태리 인간공학회의 국제보고서를 중심으로 정리하였다. One of the rapid changes in modern society would be the extension of human life and the increase in physical handicap, which gained interests of researchers rather recently. Researches with this viewpoints fundamentally include the considerations on the dwelling spaces. Often it`s not easy to find activities to adjust or to change the facilities and / or spaces to the people getting older. These `inappropriate` spaces which do not encompass the changing characteristics of older people remain uncomfortable to them. For a step to investigate efficient ways to enhance the functionality and stability of dwelling facilities based on the understanding of spatial perceptions of the old and disabled whose physical mobility has been considerably decreased, basic facts are summarized and quoted from the international reports of the Ergonomic Society of Italy.
