dc.description.abstract | We consider an M^X/G/1 system with N-policy and exceptional first vacation. When the system becomes empty, the server leaves for a vacation. If the server finds that the queue length is greater than or equal to a predetermined N(threshold) when he returns, then the server immediately begins to serve the customers. Otherwise, he leaves for another vacation and so on. The first vacation is differently distributed from subsequent vacations. We obtain the system size distribution by supplementary variable method and waiting time distribution. | en_US |
