dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a method for modeling the dynamic behavior of supply chains with harbor logistics and analyzing strategy(e.g., demand, structure, and information) of the proposed supply chain by applying multi-agent systems based simulation model. We developed and implemented a multi-agent systems based simulation model to (1) describe a supply chain network, its component, behaviors, and interaction, (2) represent business entities as agents and the involved information and material flows across supply chain, and (3) simulate a supply chain for the choice of proper strategy satisfied with performance measures. This paper researches on (1) modeling and design of supply chain with harbor logistics, (2) measuring supply chain performance under different strategies within logistics, and (3) strategy analysis for making strategic business decision about the logistics operation of supply chain. Therefore, the developed model aids in the design of flexible supply chain, and gives valuable insights into the modeling and strategy analysis of supply chain.en_US
