보육교사의 팀티칭 경험에 따른 교사효능감 및 영유아 권리존중 보육실행 수준 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 보육교사의 팀티칭 경험 유무와 기타 팀티칭 관련 경험적, 운영적 특성의 하위수준에 따른 교사효능감 및 영유아 권리존중 보육실행(권리보육)에서의 차이를 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 서울․경기 지역의 어린이집에서 담임교사로 근무하는 보육교사 230명을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 연구가 진행된 해당 보육년도에 팀티칭 운영 경험이 있는 교사, 당해 팀티칭을 운영하지 않았지만 이전 팀티칭 경험이 있는 교사, 팀티칭 경험이 전무한 교사 집단 간 교사효능감과 권리보육 수준을 비교한 결과, 교사효능감에서는 팀티칭 운영 집단이 팀티칭 경험 전무 집단보다, 권리보육에서는 팀티칭 운영 집단이 나머지 두 팀티칭 미운영 집단보다 더 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 팀티칭 관련 기타 경험적, 운영적 특성에 있어서는, 팀티칭 경력이 높고 팀 교사와 교수 신념 및 접근법이 유사할수록, 그리고 역할분담이 분명하고 정기적인 회의 시간을 가진 경우 교사효능감과 권리보육이 더 높은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 결과는 보육교사의 교사효능감과 영유아 권리존중 보육실행에 있어 팀티칭이 기능적일 수 있음을 시사하고 있으며, 효율적인 팀티칭 운영 방향에 대한 유용한 단서를 제공하고 있다. This study aims to analyze different levels of teacher efficacy and childcare practice (rights-securing childcare) depending on preschool teacher’s team teaching (TT) experiences and related experiential and procedural variables. Survey included 230 preschool teachers working at preschools in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas. The study found that teachers with TT experiences during the given curriculum year scored higher on teacher efficacy than those with no TT experience and also scored higher on rights-securing childcare than those currently non-participating in TT but having prior experience as well as those with no TT experience. The study also found that levels of teacher efficacy and rights-securing childcare were generally higher with more experience in TT, with similar teaching beliefs and approaches among TT teachers, with clearly defined and assigned roles among TT teachers, and with regular meetings. These results suggest the potential efficacy of TT on preschool teacher’s teacher efficacy and childcare practice respecting children’s rights, and offer practical tips for effective operation of TT system in preschool settings.
