Abstract
In the 21st century information becomes more important. There emerges knowledge-based society. The new society puts emphasis on information and knowledge as well as material affluence. The new trends put emphasis on diversity of design which satisfies individual characteristics and organic relationship with the environment. Digitalized information technological revolution is rapidly changing intellectual and social environment in both Korea and the world. It also has great influence on industrial and economic activities in general. The role of cultural industry is enhanced by in environment. State the changes competitiveness can be measured by cultural goods which includes traditional crafts of inner court. These symptoms can be found in world markets and the policies of each state designed to cope with the new trend. This article analyzes the type and sphere of traditional cultural commodities suggested by the design developed countries. The new trends arising from the activities of the design developed countries on the development of cultural commodities and trade need to be researched as well. This analysis is to be put in comparative perspective with the methods of promotion of cultural industries in Korea to provide a theoretical basis for the development of cultural goods in the global market.
