팬픽의 쓰기 교육적 가치 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 최근 여성 청소년층에서 폭발적인 인기를 누리고 있는 팬픽(Fanfic)의 향유실태를 파악하고, 그 소통과정에서 나타나는 적극적인 읽기를 통한 쓰기의 내적동기 유발에 근거한 쓰기 교육적 측면의 가치를 탐색해 보고자 한다. 일반적으로 팬픽은 팬(fan)과 픽션(fiction)의 합성어인 팬픽션의 줄임말로, 팬들이 좋아하는 인기가수나 영화 또는 만화의 등장인물을 주인공으로 쓴 소설을 말한다. 이러한 팬픽은 크게 기존 서사체의 변형인가 실제 인물(특정 연예인)의 서사적 변용인가에 따라 구분할 수 있는데, 이 중 본 연구의 대상은 실제인물(특정 연예인)의 서사적 변용으로서의 팬픽이다. 먼저 팬픽의 읽기와 쓰기 실태 파악을 위해 서울지역 여중생을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 결과 분석을 통해 실제 청소년들 사이에서 활발히 읽히고, 직접 창작되고 있음을 밝혔다. 특히 팬픽의 창작 동기에 있어서 ‘창작에 대한 내적 욕구’가 가장 큰 비중을 차지하여 팬픽이 학생들의 쓰기에 대한 내적 동기와 흥미를 자극하는 유용한 장르임을 알 수 있었다. 팬픽에 관한 기존의 다양한 연구 중 팬픽을 청소년문학의 하위 장르로 파악하는 관점에 따라 팬픽의 청소년 문학으로서의 성격을 살펴보았다. 팬픽은 그 창작층과 독자층 모두 청소년이라는 특징과 더불어 청소년들의 정체성에 대한 고민과 그들 생활의 단면이 담긴 청소년 문학으로 규정할 수 있었다. 일반적으로 팬픽에 접근하는 방법은 크게 세 가지 방법이 사용되고 있는데 첫째는 온라인 팬픽 커뮤니티 형태이고, 두 번째로는 개인 홈페이지, 세 번째는 개인 대 개인으로 파일을 주고받는 P2P 방식이 사용되고 있었다. 이 세 가지 방식은 모두 동일 집단 내에서는 적극적이고 활발한 의사소통 양상 보이지만, 외부 집단에 대해서는 강한 폐쇄성을 보였다. 팬픽의 적극적 읽기는 능동적 쓰기로 이어졌다. 댓글 단계에서 시작되는 글쓰기는 좀 더 긴 비평과 감상의 형태인 감상평을 올리기로 이어지고 최종적으로 팬픽을 읽던 독자는 새로운 독립된 작자로 거듭나게 된다. 본 연구에서는 읽기에서 적극적인 쓰기로의 이행 과정을 댓글 단계, 감상평 단계, 창작 단계로 나누고 각 단계의 특징을 살펴보았다.; 'Fan-fic' is popular internet literature especially among teenage girls. The purpose of our research to grasp on teenager's actual conditions of enjoyment of 'fan-fic' and to make an investigation into the writing educational value. 'Fan-fic' is the new word combining 'fan' and 'fiction'. It is divided into two types that remaking of the existing work and narrative acculturation. An object of our research is an narrative acculturation of specific person(specific star). First, to grasp actual conditions of reading and writing 'fan-fic', I conduct a survey to girls' junior high school students located in Seoul. In survey analysis, we show that young people read and write 'fan-fic' actively. Especially, Internal desire of creation takes up a considerable part of a motive of creation. So, we show that 'fan-fic' is useful genre that give impetus and interesting to writing. We examine the characteristic of 'fan-fic' as young literature by a point of view that 'fan-fic' is a low rank genre of young literature in preexistence researches. 'Fan-fic' has the feature that both reader and writer are young and, 'fan-fic' has a contents of lifestyle, agony and identity of young people. so, 'fan-fic' is defined to young literature. Generally, There are three ways to contact 'fan-fic'. A first way is on-line 'fan-fic' community, A second way is personal home page and a third way is 'p2p' that is peer to peer network communication. These all ways make positive and active communication in their own community. But, out of their community, these are exclusive and unsociable. Positive reading of 'fan-fic' is continued to active writing of 'fan-fic'. Writing of 'fan-fic' is started by reply to full story. This 'Reply-level' is shape up to writing a critique and thoughts of 'fan-fic'. Conclusively, this 'repler' is born again to independent novelist of 'fan-fic'. In our research, we divide the process that reading is continued to positive writing into 'reply-level', 'critique-level' and 'novelist-level'. Then, we research the feature of each level.
