공업계 고등학교 학생들의 진로의식에 관한 연구

Abstract

People pursue happiness and fruitful life while they are doing social parts and actualizing their egos through works and jobs in the fast changing society. For this reason, making plans for the future and selecting jobs are really important and realizing to select their jobs by their abilities and interests is also important. Being able to live happy and satisfied life while they use their abilities for the jobs which they want to work for is depending on selecting their future careers. This study is about finding out students' professional consciousness and what important matters are for them when they decide their future careers. Main purpose of this study is giving information and some help to careers masters at schools and offering specific and practical way of consulting students and basic data for guiding future career by studying and researching professional sense of students at technical high schools. The result of the professionalism and future career consciousness is as below. First, Many students at technical high schools decide their future plan by themselves. Second, for students, great anxiety is their future career decisions and they often think about it Third, Many students desire to continue their studies at higher levels because of getting better jobs which can give them better wages and promotion than th jobs for high school graduates. Fourth, coaching future career for students at school is not working properly and the research shows that there are many students who want individual consultation for this matter. Fifth, Students consider that technical high schools are treated with in hospitality in the society and it is necessary to increase the opportunity for employment for the students. By the foundation of this consequence of this study, I like to indicate the direction of the research to be helpful for future career education. First, Schools need to make certain atmosphere and environment to be able for students who have problems and are worrying about their future careers to get the consultation at schools and also teachers should lead them to discard their stereotype and academical cliquism (sectarianism) Second, Schools have to make journeymen needing for the society and increase the opportunity for employment by industrial connection relation. Third, making students do on-the-spot study so they can feel what the real jobs like. It will make them think about their future plans and be helpful for them to decide. Fourth, government has to strengthen the supports for technical high schools and make institutional devices that students can be treated by their real abilities, not by educational background.; 빠르게 변화하는 사회에서 사람은 일과 직업을 통해 자아를 실현하고 사회적 역할을 수행하는 가운데 행복과 보람을 추구한다. 그러므로 진로를 설정하고 직업을 선택하는 것이 중요하고 자신의 적성과 능력에 따라 진로를 결정하는 것이 매우 중요하다는 것을 깨달아 자신의 위치에서 자신이 하고 싶은 일을 사회에서 자신의 능력을 발휘하여 보람과 긍지를 느끼고 한 평생을 보다 만족스럽고 행복한 삶을 영위하기 위한 최적의 방안은 무엇보다도 진로선택에 의해 좌우된다. 본 연구는 학생들의 진로에 관하여 직업관을 알아보고 진로를 선택할 때 무엇을 비중을 두는지 알아보는 것이다. 이로써 일선 학교에서 지도하는 선생님들에게 진로방향에 대해 도움을 주고 진로의식을 조사 분석하여 구체적이고 실증적인 학생 상담 및 진로지도를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자하는 것이다. 공업고등학교 학생들의 진로의식과 직업관의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공업고등학교 학생들은 진로결정을 자신 스스로 결정하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공업고등학교 학생들은 가장 고민하는 것은 진로문제를 가장 많이 고민하고 진로를 자주 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공업고등학교 학생들은 진학을 더 많이 희망하고 희망하는 이유에 대해서 승진과 임금이 고졸보다 유리하거나 좋은 직장을 얻기 위하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학교에서 진로지도는 잘 이루어 지지 않았고 학생들은 개인 상담을 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 공업고등학교 학생들은 학교가 사회에서 인정을 받지 못한다고 생각하고 있으며 취업 기회를 넓혀야한다고 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 토대로 진로교육에 도움이 될 수 있도록 연구방향을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 학교에서는 학생들이 혼자 고민하고 있는 학생들의 마음을 학교에서 상담할 수 있도록 분위기를 조성하고 학생들이 갖고 있는 고정관념과 학벌주의 등을 버릴 수 있게 지도해야한다. 둘째, 학교는 산업체와 산학연계관계를 구축하여 취업기회를 확대하고 올바른 기능인 사회에서 필요로 하는 기능인을 육성해야한다. 셋째, 현장견학을 하게하여 학생들이 자신의 진로 결정에 도움을 주어야 하고 눈으로 보고 느낄 수 있도록 해야 한다. 넷째, 국가에서는 공업고등학교가 사회에서 올바르게 설 수 있도록 지원을 강화하고 학력으로 능력을 인정받는 것이 아니라 실력으로 능력을 인정받을 수 있도록 제도적 방안을 마련해야한다.
