Vehicle and Forklift Movement visibility and Guidance System with RFID in the Military Supply Distribution Center

Abstract

급속하게 변화하는 IT환경으로 인해, 여러 산업 분야에 많은 변화를 가져왔으며, 특히 이중 RFID 기술의 발전은, 물류 및 유통업계에 큰 변화를 가져왔다. RFID 기술의 도입으로 인해, 기존의 물류 및 유통 시스템에서 필요로 하던 재고관리 인력, 비용 절감 효과를 가져왔으며, 보다 빠른 유통 체계를 확립하는데 큰 기여를 하였다. 이와 동시에 군에서도 RFID시스템을 도입하여, 군수물자의 효율적 관리와 분배에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 군수 지원 작전 시 요구되는 효율적인 분배와 효율적인 재고 관리는 꾸준하게 중요한 요점으로 자리 잡아 왔으나, 여전히 보급기지 내 효율적인 이동관리 체계에 대한 문제점은 여전히 존재하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해, 여러 가지 방법이 도입되었으나, 효과적인 결과를 얻지 못하였다. 이러한 결과로 인하여, 현재까지도, 군수 물자를 보급하는데 많은 비용, 인력, 그리고 많은 시간이 소요되고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 최근 군 내부에 RFID기술이 도입되었으나, 아직 시작 단계에 불과하며, 일부 특정 분야에 적용되어 있는 것이 현실이다. 군 보급 체계는 지속적으로 복잡해지고 있는 반면, 이에 대응하는 관리체계는 아직까지 부족한 부분이 대다수이다. 특히 분배 및 전개시에 발생하는 시간적, 비용적인 소요가 아직까지도 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는 것이 사실이다. 본 논문에서는 RFID기술을 이용하여, 군수 보급 기지내의 차량 및 지게차 이동 관리 및 안내하는 시스템을 제안하여 이동관리의 향상을 추구하고, 기존에 가지고 있는 RFID물류관리 체계와 연동하여, 향상된 군수보급기지 운영을 추구하고자 하는 것이 주요한 목적 이다. 본 논문에서 제시한 차량이동관리체계와 지게차 이동관리 체계는 현재 군사적 목적의 보급 작전에 적합한 시스템으로, 보다 체계적이고 효율적이며, 이전보다 향상된 군사 보급 작전을 지향하고자 하는데 그 목적을 두고자 한다.; In the age of rapidly changing IT environment, most of industrial business has been changed. Especially, the development of RFID technology affects areas of the logistic and the retail area. RFID technology provides to establish a faster circulation system. Simultaneously, the military introduces RFID based supply management system and it affects for the efficiency of supply management and distribution. The efficient supply distribution and management are important factors of the military support operation, but there are problems still exists for the efficient movement control for vehicles. To solve these problems, military imports many ways of movement control, but they can't get a ideal result for these ways. For this reason, there still large amount of budget, time and manpower are still required for the military supply distribution. To solve these problems, the military has initiated to introduce a RFID technology, but it is still in the beginning and used in some specific areas. The military supply chain is getting complex, but the management system to keep up with complex military supply chain is still required. Especially, the distribution and deployment still require time and budget for the operation. The purpose of this thesis is to upgrade vehicle movement control and forklift guiding with RFID. Integrate with current inventory management system, this vehicle movement system will provide more efficient, more convenient and fully automated military depot operation. With this system, military can fulfill their support operation with advanced technology.
