소아 치과의 아이덴티티를 형성하는 디자인 계획 요소에 관한 연구

Abstract

Nowadays, the change of mandatory referral system brought strong competition on primary clinic, and medical treatment activities is considering as a service from it. Interior design had been used as element to survive from the competition when it gets popular in society, and it also had been changed fast when the space of hospitals and clinics is absorbed as an environment to cure since 2000. Among all hospitals, dentistry clinics show the most active interior changes to avoid itsimages, such as unfamiliar atmosphere to patient and strong commercial place. Thus interior designs have been changed more luxurious and comfortable environment to have an attention from patients. However interior design in dental clinic cannot be completed without having its complicate functions on special facilities and formation. Many dental clinics are opening focusing on their own specialty such as prosthetic, orthodontics or implantsince 1990, when the dental metical treatment has been more specialized and ramification. The pediatric dentistry clinic is the one of the special care, it was obtained and specialized for young children. Thus the mission of interior design for the pediatric dentistry clinic is supporting comfortable and familiar environment to young children patients who get scary easily and hate to come to dental office, adding up on general functions of dental clinics. Then it must show different use of space and friendly designs for young children patients to control their behavior. However existing interior designs for pediatric dentistry clinics were mainly focused on visual decoration rather than the proper use of space. It is very hard to satisfy functionally to give suitable environment for patients. It should convey physical and mental development for them except the request of technical interior designs. Most of young children patients from pediatric dentistry do not necessary physical inconvenient unlike pediatric clinic, it also has different characters from pediatric clinic. Consequently, I will prove from this study what characters of the pediatric dentistry clinic are different from general dentistry clinic or pediatric clinic as the place in which serves young children. From the research I will define and suggest design factor identity of it by practicing the cases. The design identity will be appreciated to give fundamental idea on the pediatric dentistry clinic for the future.; 현대에 들어 의료전달체계의 변화로 1차 의료기관인 의원의 경쟁이 심화되면서 의료행위가 서비스로 인식되었다. 또 사람들이 디자인을 민감하게 의식하면서 병·의원들은 경쟁력 강화를 위해 실내디자인에 관심을 갖기 시작했고 2000년대 들어 병·의원에서 치유공간에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 의원의 실내디자인은 급속히 변화하였다. 상업성이 강하고 사람들이 방문을 꺼리는 치과의원은 실내디자인의 개·보수가 가장 활발한 영역으로 고급스럽고 병·의원 같지 않은 분위기를 연출하는 데 주력해 왔다. 그러나 치과의원은 타과의 의원과는 달리 공간구성, 설비 등 실내디자인에 있어 기능적 요구조건이 복잡하여 미적인 디자인에만 치우쳐서는 치과의원으로서의 역할을 다할 수 없다. 치과 진료 영역이 점점 전문화되고 세분화됨에 따라 각각의 치과전문의가 모여 함께 개원하거나 보철, 심미, 임플란트 등의 전문치과가 속속 개원하고 있다. 1990년대부터 급속히 증가한 소아 치과도 이런 전문치과 중 하나로 다른 전문 치과들이 진료 과목에 따라 전문화 된 것에 비해 소아 치과는 연령에 따라 전문화된 것으로 광범위한 진료 영역을 모두 소화한다. 때문에 소아 치과의원 실내 디자인의 최종 목표는 일반 치과가 가지는 기능적 특성을 모두 충족시키면서 치과 치료를 두려워하고 거부하는 소아 환자들의 행동조절이 가능한 환경을 제공하는 것이다. 이러한 소아 환자의 행동조절을 위해서 일반 치과에는 없는 실들이 추가되기도 하고 소아 환자의 사용 가능 공간에는 일반 치과의원과 다른 실내 디자인이 필요하다. 그러나 기존의 소아 치과의원의 실내디자인의 경우 공간 디자인에 관한 고려보다는 시각 디자인과 장식에 치우쳐진 것이 사실이다. 이것은 매우 표면적이고 단순한 디자인으로 효과적인 행동조절로서의 환경을 제공하기에 역부족이다. 치과의원으로서의 기능적인 실내디자인 요구를 제외하고서라도 소아 치과의원 실내디자인의 주 대상은 아동이므로 아동의 신체적·정신적 발달을 고려하며 지원해야 한다. 소아 치과의 대부분의 소아 환자들은 일반 소아과의 환자들과는 달리 물리적 움직임에 큰 불편을 호소하는 경우는 많지 않으므로 일반 소아과와는 다른 실내 디자인 특성을 갖는다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 소아 치과의원이 아동을 대상으로 한 공간이라는 점, 치과의원이라는 점을 중심으로 하여 소아 치과의원이 일반 치과의원과 혹은 일반 소아과 의원과 차별화 되는 요소들을 이론적 고찰을 통해 추출하고 그 요소들의 특징과 차별화 요인에 대한 이론을 전개한다. 이를 바탕으로 각 요소를 실제 사례에 적용하여 분석함으로써 소아 치과의원의 실내디자인이 갖는 디자인 아이덴티티 요소에 대하여 정의하고 제안한다. 이와 같은 디자인 아이덴티티 요소는 향후 계획되는 소아 치과의원 실재디자인의 기본적인 설계 지침으로 사용 가능할 것이다.
