BACnet/ZigBee 모델 기반의 조명제어시스템

Abstract

최근 신축되고 있는 많은 대형 건물들은 업무 능률을 향상시키고 쾌적한 건물 환경을 유지하며 동시에 효율적으로 건물을 관리하기 위하여 인텔리전트 빌딩의 형태로 건축되고 있다. 이러한 빌딩 시설과 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가함에 따라 분산형 마이크로 프로세서 기반의 제어 시스템이 널리 퍼지기 시작하였다. 디지털 통신 네트워크는 지능형 빌딩자동화 시스템의 핵심 기술로 자리잡고 있다. BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks)은 빌딩 자동화를 위해 특별히 설계된 국제 표준 데이터 통신 프로토콜이다. 한편 최근 유무선 통신 기술의 급격한 발달로 인해 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 및 유비쿼터스 네트워크 관련 기술의 중요성이 급증하고 있다. 특히 빌딩 및 홈오토메이션 분야에서도 유비쿼터스 관련 기술의 발달로 인해 기술 융합을 통한 유무선 통합 시스템 구축에 대한 관심이 점차 증가하고 있는 추세이다 본 연구에서는 최근 그 수요가 급증하고 있는 ZigBee 무선 통신 기술을 BACnet의 데이터 링크 계층으로 활용하기 위한 BACnet/ZigBee(BACnet over ZigBee) 프로토콜을 제안하고, 이를 구현하기 위한 기술을 소개한다. 또한 본 연구에서 제안한 프로토콜을 조명자동제어 실험모델에 적용함으로써 제안한 프로토콜 및 구현기술의 유효성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 BACnet/ZigBee 모델은 빌딩자동화 및 제어 통신망을 위한 국제표준인 BACnet에 ZigBee 무선 통신기술을 부가함으로써 기존의 BACnet 상호운용성을 그대로 보장하면서도 BACnet의 활용범위를 더욱 확장시킬 수 있다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 8개의 BACnet/ZigBee 모트로 Scene 제어 환경을 구성하였다. 각각의 모트는 그 기능에 따라 커맨더 모트, AC 액츄에이터, DC 액츄에이터, 센서 모트, 스테이션 모트로 구성되며, 이를 원격으로 제어하기 위해 BACnet Ethernet을 사용한다. 이에 따라 BACnet/ZigBee의 유무선 확장의 타당성을 검증한다.; BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides five options for datalink layer protocols and these five datalink layer options can be applied with various transmission media. Recently wireless technology prevails in automation area. ZigBee is a standard protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4 for low-speed wireless communication network. In this study, we propose a BACnet/ZigBee model that uses ZigBee wireless technology in a BACnet communication network system as a wireless datalink layer protocol. We also applied this model to a lighting control system to evaluate the feasibility of proposed technology. The technology proposed in this paper can extend the application of BACnet not only for building automation but also for home automation by taking the advantages of ZigBee wireless communication technology in BACnet communication network systems.
