dc.description.abstract본 연구에서 제안한 석션 드레인 공법(Suction Drain Method; SDM)은 지반 내에 연직 배수재를 타설하고 연직 배수재에 직접 진공을 가하는 방법이다으로 지반의 체적 감소와 강도 증가를 촉진시키는 공법이다. 본 논문은 SDM을 사용하여 연약지반을 개량함에 있어서, 진공압의 크기에 따른 개량 효율을 평가하고자 석션 드레인 공법에 적합한 배수재, 개량기간, 기밀영역의 심도에 대한 실내 실험을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 선정된 배수재, 개량기간, 개량영역의 심도, 기밀영역의 심도를 고정인자로 하고, 적용 진공압을 -20kPa, -40kPa, -60kPa, -80kPa의 4가지 조건으로 다르게 하여 실험을 실시하였다. 진공압에 따른 침하 특성은 침하량을 측정하여 파악하였고, 실험 종료 후의 콘 저항치와 함수비를 측정하여 강도 특성 및 함수비 변화 특성을 파악하였다. 측정한 침하량, 진공압의 크기, 콘 저항치, 함수비를 바탕으로 간극비의 변화 및 압밀도를 산정하여 진공압의 크기에 따른 개량 효율을 평가하였다.; Suction Drain Method (SDM) is a relatively new technique, in which a Plastic Drain Board (PDB) is placed in soft ground and vacuum pressure can be directly applied to the PDBs to promote volume reduction and strengthening the ground. A number of preliminary tests were conducted under different conditions, such as (i) type of PDB, (ii) processing time, (iii) treatment depth and (iv) sealing layer. The laboratory investigations were focused on the examination of the appropriate vacuum pressures (e.g. -20kPa, -40kPa, -60kPa, -80kPa) applied for the soft ground improvement using the SDM. The vacuum pressures at different hight near the PDB and surface settlement were monitored during the SDM compaction process, and cone resistance as well as moisture contents were also measured after the completion of SDM treatment. The soft ground improvement by SDM was evaluated from the vacuum pressure versus void ratio relationships as well as the degree of consolidation, based on the measurements of surface settlement, cone resistance, moisture content and vacuum pressures.-
