구성주의 관점에서 함수지도에 관한 소고

Abstract

7차 교육과정이 발표된 이래로 수학교육계에서 광범위하게 받아들여지고 있는 핵심적인 생각의 하나는 수학-교수학습의 과정에서 구체적인 활동을 통하여 학생 개개인이 가능한 한 스스로 지식을 구성할 수 있게 하는 것이다. 이러한 역할을 가능하게 하는 수학-교수학습의 이론으로 구성주의가 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 구성주의 이론에 기초하여 일차함수의 그래프를 어떻게 도입할 수 있는지를 고찰해 보았다. 일차함수 그래프 지도에 있어서 구성주의적 접근을 하기 위하여 구성주의의 개념을 살펴보았다. 이에 본론 1, 2장에서는 구성주의의 발달과 유형에 대하여 세분하여 구성주의를 고찰하였다. 또한 수학교육에서 구성주의는 무엇인지 살펴보았고 또한 함수에 대한 개념도 간단히 살펴보았다. 구성주의적 일차함수의 그래프 도입 방법 중 하나로, 생활환경에서 일어날 수 있는 일을 학생의 일기에서 찾아내었다. 학생들이 수학 문제 상황이나 수학 학습내용을 설정하여 그것에 대한 반성적 사고와 사회적 상호작용을 통하여 일차함수를 구성해 나가는 것이다. 수학 교수-학습에서 구성주의 이론적 배경에 입각하여 문제 상황을 구성한다면 많은 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 문제는 어떻게 적용하는가인 것이다. 이러한 노력의 일환으로 본 연구는 중요한 가치를 지니는 일차함수의 그래프를 택하여 구성주의 이론을 어떻게 적용할 수 있는 지를 살펴보았다.; One of the key thought which is widely accepted in the today's mathematics education is each student can construct knowledge by himself through detailed operation activity in teaching and learning mathematics. In view of this point, what we call 'constructivism' is very powerful as a background theory in education. constructivism is a conversion of educational epistemology to pursue a student-centered education so as to cultivate the contemplative ability and the capacity of solving problem by recognizing student-own studying procedure. For this reason, we would try to demonstrate the constructivism has a lot of merits if applied to teaching mathematics. The purpose of this study is to search for a method in introducing linear function's graph. This introduction is mainly based on a currently popular educational theory, constructivism. The constructivism has a lot of merits if applied to teaching mathematics. But there is few research for how the constructivism can be applied. For this, I considered how to introduce the graph of linear function from a constructivistic view.
