2-D와 3-D 미술매체의 활용과 미술치료 도구검사 HTP 프로그램으로 보는 ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) 아동그림의 특성 연구

Abstract

다변화 시대의 사회 환경 속에서 살아가는 아동들은 심한 정신적, 육체적 스트레스를 겪으면서 여러 상황에 부딪치게 되고 그에 따른 어려움을 겪게 된다. 최근 아동기의 발달장애 중 흔히 볼 수 있는 행동장애의 한 분류로서 주의력 결핍 과잉행동장애(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: ADHD)아동을 들 수 있다. 이 아동들은 교육기관에서의 부적응 등의 문제로 많은 어려움에 부딪치며 인지적인 특성 면에서는 집중시간이 매우 짧기 때문에 보편적인 학습마저도 적응하기가 곤란하다. 행동적인 측면에서는 지나치게 활동적이고 충동적이어서 여러 상황에서 돌발적인 문제를 일으키기가 쉽다. 따라서 ADHD아동들은 학업 및 정서, 대인관계 등에 걸쳐 많은 어려움을 겪고 있으며 이러한 장애아동 들에게 필요한 미술매체를 효과적으로 적용하여 조기치료의 중요성을 강조하고 학교 교육이 조화를 이루어 아이들이 보다 밝고 건강하게 자랄 수 있는 환경을 만들 수 있도록 하기 위해 본 연구의 목적을 두었다. ADHD 아동의 과잉행동성은 아동이 보다 많은 자극을 찾고 동일 자극에의 주의 집중시간이 짧아지며 산만한 행동을 하게 되는 경향성이라고 정의할 수 있다. 이러한 특성상 이들은 같은 또래의 다른 아동들에 비해 잦은 실수와 지속적인 부주의, 과잉행동, 충동적 행동으로 인해 일상생활에서나 학습현장에서의 부적응 상태와 학습장애를 가져오는데 청소년기나 성인기에 이르기까지 이 증후가 사라지지 않기 때문에 아주 심각한 부작용을 일으킨다. 따라서 이 같은 ADHD반응을 보이는 아동은 유년기 또는 아동기에 적절한 치료적 조치가 필요 하다. 연구내용으로는 연구방법 측정 도구 2-D, 3-D의 미술매체를 활용한 프로그램과 HTP 진단도구를 사용하였다. 이러한 미술프로그램과 측정도구로 연구 분석한 결과 주의력 결핍아동과 과잉행동, 부주의아동의 그림은 그리는 순서나, 크기, 위치, 필압의 정도, 그리는 시간, 지우기에 따라 특징적인 표현이 발견 되었다. 결론적으로 HTP 진단도구로 아동의 성격이나 갈등, 동기, 심리적 특성을 파악하여 ADHD 아동에게 효과적인 미술프로그램이 무엇인지 알 수 있었으며 2- D, 3-D의 미술매체를 적절히 적용하여 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.; Children living in modern society run into various conditions that cause substantial physical and psychological stress, suffering from difficulties as a result. One of the common behavioral disorders is the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Children victim to this disorder often fail to adapt to the environment of the educational institution. From the cognitive standpoint, they find it hard to follow even elementary teachings due to their extremely short concentration span. From the behavioral perspective, they cause troubles abruptly because they are excessively active and impulsive. All these lead to difficulties in learning, emotion control and relations with other people. The objective of this study is to highlight the importance of early intervention by effective application of fine-arts education tools in harmony with the official curriculum, thereby contributing to the creation of an environment for the healthy development of the children. The hyperactivity of the ADHD children can be defined as their tendency for seeking more stimulations, shortening of the concentration span for a given stimulation and for inattentive attitude. For these reasons, these children make mistakes more frequently than other children in the same age group and suffer from continuous inattentiveness while falling into with hyper and impulsive activities. This results in adaption failure and learning disorder in ordinary and school life. It becomes a serious trouble because these conditions usually persist into adolescence and adulthood. Therefore, it is necessary to start adequate treatment from infancy or childhood. Used in this study were programs employing 2-D and 3-D fine arts media together with HTP diagnostic tools. It was found that the ADHD children showed unique characteristics in terms of the order of drawing, size and location of objects in addition to the pressure they exert on their crayons or pencils. Accordingly, it was found that the HTP tools enabled the researcher to assess the personalities, conflicts, motives and psychological characteristics from which the most effective art education programs for ADHD children could be determined. Further, it was found that appropriate use of 2-D and 3-D media was effective.
