교원연수 개선방안에 관하여

Abstract

교원의 연수는 교원의 자질과 전문성을 향상시켜 교육의 질을 높이는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 기존의 교원이 보다 유능한 교원으로 성장함으로써 미래를 이끌어 갈 학생들에게 개선된 교육을 하는 것이 중요한 것은 바로 교원의 질이 교육의 질을 결정하기 때문이다. 하지만 지속적인 교원의 재교육 없이 개선된 교육을 바란다는 것은 불가능한 일이다. 이런 필요성에서 교원의 연수는 더 이상 선택이 아닌 필수가 되었다. 본 연구는 선행 연구의 문헌고찰을 통하여 교원연수제도의 개선방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있으며, 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 21세기의 환경 변화와 새로운 인재상을 분석한다. 둘째, 현행 교원을 대상으로 이루어지고 있는 교원연수의 실태를 분석한다. 셋째, 교원연수의 문제점을 검토하여 개선방안을 모색한다. 본 연구를 통하여 종합된 결론으로 교원연수의 개선방안을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문성의 향상을 위한 별도의 교육과정을 마련해야 한다. 둘째, 지속적인 자기개발을 지원하는 제도를 마련해야 한다. 셋째, 연수 지원체제를 획기적으로 강화해야 한다. 본 연구는 교원연수제도가 교원재교육의 열린 장이 되는 방향으로 조금이나마 개선되기 위한 참고자료로 활용되어, 교원들이 자신의 자질과 전문성을 끊임없이 신장해 나감으로써 학생들에게 보다 개선된 양질의 교육을 제공할 수 있게 되기를 바란다.; The goal of teachers' training lies in enhancing their quality and professionalism and thereby, improving the quality of education. It is important to help the teachers grow into the able educators who could effectively teach their students or our future leaders, because their quality just determines the quality of education. Nevertheless, it would be impossible to expect a better education of our teachers without their continuous retraining. Hence, teachers' training is not an option but a necessity. The purpose of this study was to review the relevant literature and thereby, explore the ways to develop the teachers' training system. For this purpose, the following study points were set up; First, the changing environment in the 21st century and the images of new talented children would be analyzed; Second, the current conditions of teachers' training system would be analyzed; Third, the problems of teachers' training system would be addressed to find their solutions; The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, it is necessary to design extra training courses for enhancement of teachers' professionalism. Second, it is essential to arrange some system that can help teachers develop themselves. Third, it is also deemed necessary to reform the current teachers' training system dramatically. Lastly, it is hoped that this study will be useful to improvement of the teachers' training system and that our teachers will continue to develop their quality and professionalism through continued retraining to provide our students with improved quality education.
