K7의 선형매장에서의 매듭에 관한 연구

Abstract

R^(3) 상에서 완전그래프의 선형 매장에 포함된 cycle들은 여러 가지 다각 매듭들을 포함하고 있다. 특히 완전그래프 K7의 선형 매장에는 풀린 매듭, 세잎 매듭, 8자형 매듭이 있음이 알려져 있다. 이 논문에서는 K7의 선형 매장 안에서 특히 8자형 매듭의 최대 개수를 조사하기 위한 선행 연구로서 R^(3) 상에서 7개의 선분으로 구성된 다각 8자형 매듭이 형성될 몇 가지 조건에 대해 논의 하였다.; A linear embedding of K7 may contain polygonal trivial knots, trefoil knots and figure eight knots. In this paper, as a first step to determine the maximal number of figure eight knots in a linear embedding of K7, we investigate the condition that a polygonal knot consisting of seven line segments be the figure eight knot.
